If you want 5-star Hilton, stay away! If you want an old-fashioned, down-home American motel, with clean rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, right there in downtown Fort Lauderdale, close to the airport and Port Everglades, you won't find better value than this.

If you want glitz and glam and flunkies, you won't find it here. If you want nice people and great value, this is the place for you!

Just so you know, in the last 12 months I've had about 20 hotel stays, in the UK, USA, Malaysia, Thailand, from the poshest, to the cheapest. This was the friendliest!

Inexpensive motel, with that being said its not the best quality but it is okay. Staff is very friendly, cable tv, microwave, small fridge, coffee maker. Let us check in at 11am. Location isn't great because too far to walk to main attractions (mall, restaurants, etc).

Got this hotel through Hot Wire and the price was not that cheap. We were hoping for a decent stay since the reviews here were mostly positive. Well, it turned out to be our worst motel experience ever. We are world travelers and have been traveling frequently, and I can honestly say that this one was absolutely the worst. I basically fled from this place.

1. Worst customer service - the hotel staff Chris was a total joke. He ignored us at 3 different times because he was so into talking on the phone instead of helping his customers. He made us wait between 5-10 minutes each time at check-in, check-out and breakfast (door was locked and he wouldn't come to the door to open it because he was on the phone). Why he couldn't just put the phone on hold and take care of us is beyond me. There is also supposed to be another motel staff (Mia?), and she never came out to help when he was busy on the phone.
2. Room - the first one he checked us into had a toilet that wouldn't flush. The second one we moved into with a phone that does not have a dial tone. We just gave up after that and stayed put.
3. Closet - smells like something died in it. Moldy and stinky. We couldn't put anything in it.
4. Bed - lumpy and uneven. The foot of the bed is higher than the head of the bed.
5. Sheets - we found other people's hair on the sheets.
6. When we checked in at 5:15 pm, there was nothing in the office that shows a "happy hour". We had to ask before Chris offered ONE can of soda for the two of us to share.
7. The breakfast only had 3 things to choose from: packaged donnetts like those from the vending machine, fresh fruits (not peeled or anything, just whole oranges and bananas), and some type of breakfast bars. The coffee pot was empty. No milk and cereal or danish. I have been to many motels at 2-star rating with much decent selections. We basically left witout eating anything.

To me, this is truly the worst motel ever. I think we were really unfortunate to have gotten this motel from Hot Wire.

this is the guy from atlanta,ga i like this hotel alot and i know when i come back i will be stayin there cause the rooms and rates are real good and the best part is the happy hour with free beer...and i like the price cause i didnt have that much money cause of the airport cancelled my plane for two days cause of the weather its a really nice hotel inside
