“A jewel in Ft Lauderdale”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

I am from Switzerland and travelled on my own to Fort Lauderdale at the end of October 2011. I stayed in Granada for two and a half weeks. The hotel, like La Casa del Mar which is just next to it, it truly exceptional: both people working there and the atmosphere are unforgettable. When you arrive there, you feel immediately comfortable as if you were a part of a family. All people working there, the owner, the receptionists and the cleaning crew are so nice and always ready and happy to help. The hotel is clean and offers a variety of facilities (e.g. rooms with or without kitchen). You can spend your time at a swimming pool enjoying an atmospheric music or go to the beach which is located just a couple of walking minutes away. The hotel is conveniently located near a smaller shopping centre. By car you can get within 10-15 mins to big shopping centers, fitness centre and and and... My favorite place in FL. Would recommend to those traveling solo or with families. I will definitely come back to this hotel!!!

“A wonderful place to stay”

My friend and I just returned from a week’s stay at the Granada Inn and can’t wait to return. We stayed in room #7, the Bonnaire. The suite has a huge bedroom, kitchen and large living and dining room.

The suite was very tastefully decorated and comfortable. The new owners have done a great job in ensuring that the complex is well kept, clean and comfortable. The roof top oasis is a great place to relax, enjoy a glass of wine and soak up the sun.

The location is very convenient. Located one half block from the beach and less than two blocks from the water taxi stop. It is close to everything you could need, but still peaceful and quiet.

We would definitely recommend the Granada Inn to couples and families looking for a great place to stay in Ft. Lauderdale.

“The Granada was AMAZING. One of ft Lauderdales best kept secrets!”

My husband and I stayed at the Granada this past weekend, it was absolutely magnificent.
We were in ft lauderdale for a wedding at the Westin, which is right next door. Our hotel was a block from the beach and many of our family members spent $200 for a room at the westin, as soon as they saw our room and the serene environment around the secluded granada/la casa del mar they were all very jealous and regretting their decision to spend more then double the price for a "view of a brick wall".
I was absolutely shocked with how wonderful it was, I had obsessively researched every hotel in a 10 mile radius and heard horror stories, I was the one who booked the room and I am not going to lie, I was a little nervous what we would find until we pulled up to the parking lot. As soon as I saw the charming establishment my worries were immediately put to rest.
It was so calm and peaceful, secluded and beautiful. A central location, convenient to everything, but the high beautiful fence surrounding the properties and the beautiful tropical landscaping make you feel as though you are on a private island.
I was very very happy we chose the granada, my husband wants this to be our "new place" for nice little trips. The rooftop patio, complete with a bar and private beds solidified my opinion of the lovely granada.
Not to mention, the staff was fantastic, Geraldo was amazing, and after a long night of dancing at the wedding we were exhausted and they allowed us late check out with no problem or inconvenience.
My husband and I love the granada. I have been all over the world and stayed at countless hotels, but the granada was a beautiful hidden gem. I am very high maintenance and have phobias of every possible thing that could go wrong in a hotel, but the Granada left me worry free and over joyed, just what I needed on a fabulous vacation. I highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Geraldo will work with you to make your trip wonderful!

“Amazing place, staff and very accomodating”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 October 2011

I book both Granada and La Casa Del Mar for my 50th birthday last week. We had 46 guests and I can't say enough about how wonderful ALL the staff handled us from the moment we all checked in. We had a 5 day celebration and it was over the top. The landscaping was just beautiful and then pool furniture and our rooms perfectly clean. It was one of the most amazing weeks of my life and Cheryl and her staff were a big part of making it so amazing!!!

“Bad experience here, do not recommend”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2011

Moldy pillows, shower water takes a long time to warm up, noisy, no security. There is a gate that locks but one of the guests had propped it open late at night and we had to go outside to close it. We lost the entire night of sleep because of people rudely making loud noise all night right outside our door. The only good thing is that the parking is free and it is a short walk to the beach. We did not feel safe sleeping here at all and immediately checked out the next day. The energy felt so bad to me that I was actually dreading going back to the hotel the next day. We went over to the Hilton Marina and finally got a peaceful night's sleep. The management did apologize, replaced our pillows and refunded one night that we paid for.
