“Quality accommodations in Fort Lauderdale”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

If you want to stay at an immaculate, beautifully landscaped, big roomed, full service resort in Fort Lauderdale the Pineapple Point is the place for you. The staff is exemplary. The owners thoughtful without being intrusive. Cocktail hour is fun. Fellow guests amusing, interesting and outgoing. Reception is full of good ideas about dining (Valentinos! nice!). We had a thoroughly enjoyBle time and will be back! Thanks Phil and Judd!

“WOW! Pineapple Point, where have you been all my life!?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

I thank my lucky gay stars for being introduced to Pineapple Point by my good friends George and Jerry. I walked through the front gate on a Friday evening and didn't really want to leave for two full days. You'd never know from the outside that Pineapple Point is such a gorgeous, peaceful, relaxing yet fun and stimulating oasis.

Every single staff member I encountered made me feel welcome, and even pampered, with a sincere concern for my comfort, needs and enjoyment. The other guests were great as well. Such a diverse group of people within the perfect gay getaway spot.

My room (#28) was near the lap pool and hot tub in a more secluded area of the property. You do hear other guests occasionally, but not in a disturbing way. There are definitely spots on the property that are perfect based on one's needs and preferences.

I've already booked my next stay, which will be in rooms #11 and 12 (bungalows) for my birthday in June. They have a great deal starting June 1 with a free night when you stay three nights (and this is at their very reasonable off-season rates).

You won't know until you visit just how wonderful this place is. Check it out!

Room Tip: If you can get to Pineapple Point prior to a planned stay, you should ask to tour the property and v...

“Top notch service!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

My partner and I just spent 5 days at Pineapple Point and really had a wonderful time. The staff and service are definitely what puts this small resort property at the top. The guys are friendly, professional and have a keen eye toward detail. They are to be commended for running a first rate hotel. The propery is beautiful and lush. Maybe a bit TOO lush if you're really heading to fla. for sun. There is a LOT of foliage. The rooms are very nice and clean showing some use but still in good shape. The breakfasts are what you would expect but their added touches during the day with the treats at the pool, taking luch orders, cheese and wine each evening and a really fabulous saturday afternoon cookout definitely raise the level. The guests are older and not as rowdy as some other places (probably due to the cost) but it does get a bit crowded and noisy on the weekend when day passes become popular. Overall though, it's a great place to spend some time and make some new friends!

Room Tip: The stand alone cottages are a bit small but adorable.

“My escape to Pineapplepoint”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

My perspective from a Swiss visitor : I came from a few days in Los Angeles to find some warm weather in Florida. I did arrive at 7am on 31st of Jan and stayed till 04th of FEB late afternoon.
I had a fantastic time at the resort...not only could I take my room already at 7am that day and sleep for a few hours after a horrible red eye flight from L.A. on AA ;-( but I could stay in my room on the last day till 4pm before heading to MIA to catch my intercontinental flight to Zurich.
Try to ask this kind of early check-in and late check-out in ANY kind of Hotel including the wanna be 6 stars like a Four Season !! Maybe Pineapplepoint will not always be able to offer that kind of generous service but they did, because they could ! and its wonderful to have someone adjusting to a situation and not just following the "normal" written rules.
The guys were very adorable during my stay ...I remember Drew, Jorge, and Clay who were new to me this time and all of them were like the wonderful staff they had before ...caring always a smile , and seeming to like their work atmosphere. I was there single and got lots of nice tips about where to shop or to go out and more ;-)
It was like vacation should be, no one trying to push you for making your room or to point out something that should be done differently, just really helpfullness and attention.
I can only recommand this place for couples or singles like me as the relaxed atmosphere helps promote nice converstation, maybe dinner with some strangers or a night out with another guest. All other guests I met were polite, discreet and friendly ...like the whole place...
a little paradise in Florida. Thanks a lot to a great Pineapple Crew ;-)
I took a massage at their beautiful spiritual cabanas with Steven, an masseur from Miami who came specially on their phone call, and he work my sore muscles from a recent move really well. I can also recommend him.

Room Tip: I saw a few rooms , all are different , all are adorable and make you feel like home ! check the pi...
