My partner and I had been staying at another resort close by to the RP. We went for Happy Hour and for a light meal. The staff and Concierge remember names and greet guests into the resort like long time friends. We spent our last day in Ft Lauderdale here at the RP and were treated very well. Staff are everywhere and always eager to assist and give advice about what FL has to offer at this beautiful sun-drenched city by the sea. We will return to the Royal Palms without hesitation. Many thanks to all of you who put a warm smile on our faces with your help and warm reception. This resort can satisfy the most demanding of guests and always in the same consistent manner of a "yes, we can" service. Other local resort owners might learn the real meaning of friendliness and service from the Royal Palms management team and staff.

What a great way to start our day hearing from our new friends. We are so honored that you chose to spend time with us here at The RP. As you have already noticed, our entire staff is dedicated to your complete satisfaction. Our,"Yes, We can" attitude is contagious and carries throughout every part of our resort.

Our full service bar and grill is a great place for Happy Hour or any meal throughout the day. During you next visit with us, why not check out our Day Spa? They are sure to please as well.. Soon you will see the opening of our new Plaza Bistro just steps from our front door offering a glimpse into the redevelopment of the area we call North Beach Village.

Keep up to date on all the happenings here at The RP, you may choose to follow us on social media or subscribe to our monthly newsletter by contacting one of our helpful 24 hour concierge for assistance.

Until we see you again, please accept our wishes for safe travels.

“The Full Package”

We have stayed at several hotels in Ft. Lauderdale over the years, settling in for the most part at Pineapple Point, but for this trip we thought we would try the new hotel in town. In fact, one of the best features of this hotel is that it is new and everything looks great and is in very good condition. The stark white modern design creates a stylish and fun environment.

Overall we were very happy with our visit. We stayed in a supreme king room which was a spacious corner room with windows overlooking a hotel courtyard and a street. The room décor was very modern, all white with a few splashes of orange, and a gray tiled floor. The bathroom was a small windowed room with a large rain shower. The sink was outside the bathroom in a large alcove that included an open closet area, exposed safe, and a refrigerator. We did not like the look of this area with everything out in the open, and the refrigerator just sitting on the floor. This open area cheapened the look of the room a little bit. Nice sheer curtains covered the long bedroom window and soft lighting created a cozy atmosphere at night.

The hotel consists of two buildings in a motel like setting, which means most of the rooms have windows looking out onto walkways and courtyards. Some rooms also look into walls, and many do not get direct sunlight as they face north. The hotel is large enough that you may be able to switch rooms if you are not happy with your location. Our room was one of the few rooms that did not have a window facing the walkways which let us keep our curtains open more often, while still maintaining privacy. We were also on the first floor and could hear the person above us walking around. The noise did not bother us, but you may not be as lucky.

The hotel’s two pools offered two great options. The front pool is the social hangout pool with some sexy looking cabanas for added atmosphere. It was also very warm. The larger back pool is the quiet relaxing pool which was also cooler and good for swimming laps. The spa is small but nice, and offers a full range of treatments. The gym is also small, but has the basics needed to get a workout done and is located in a windowed room.

We enjoyed a good breakfast at the hotel. It was a nice treat to have a full service restaurant and bar available to you if you just want to hangout and do not want to leave the hotel. The beach, however, is just two blocks away, so that makes it convenient to walk over for some fun. A few new bikes are also available for your use. For the most part, service was good and friendly.

Overall, we thought the hotel is a nice new addition to Ft. Lauderdale. Our only comment would be that the hotel offers no free extra amenities such as bottled water, sodas, snacks, or a complimentary happy hour. Those extra treats help make stays at boutique hotels like this special, and some kind of combination of free amenities is offered at most of the other gay hotels. Without some of them, this is a hotel where you check in, pay for everything, and leave, just like standard hotels. It would be nice if they offered something, even if the rates went up a little, which by the way, we thought were reasonable.

We have always enjoyed our time at Pineapple Point, but when we return we will have a tough choice to make between these two good but very different hotels that each have their own pluses and a few minuses.

Room Tip: Supreme king rooms are larger and some are on corners. A second floor room might be a wiser option.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a wonderful review. We are grateful for your recent visit with us here at The RP. Our guests love the sleek, modern decor of the resort. We appreciate your observation regarding the location of the safe and refrigerator. It is always helpful for guests to give us their opinions so that we can continue to create a one of a kind product for you to enjoy during your time in Fort Lauderdale.

Most hotel/motel architecture during the mid-century took on an open courtyard look as with our two buildings. One of our goals as we grow North Beach Village is to preserve as much of the original architecture and look as possible while updating the amenities and services provided. The rear building faces north, but the front building has an eastern exposure just blocks from the world famous Fort Lauderdale beach. We do apologize if you were inconvenienced by the sound of the guest above you and thank you for bringing it to our attention. We will look into remedies as quickly as possible.

Our two pools offer an array of atmospheres for our guests. The front pool, which is clothing optional, is slightly warmer and provides a great gathering place for our guests. The larger pool is in the rear building and is excellent for doing laps or simply relaxing in the afternoon sun. Our spa offers an extensive offering of incomparable services.

Our full service bar and grill offers the best breakfast on the beach, lunch offerings are always enjoyed by our guests and our dinner menu is beyond compare. Soon, you will even get to enjoy our new Plaza Bistro, an al fresco Italian dining experience just steps out our front door. Watch for it to open later this month.

When we moved into our new home almost a year ago, we ushered in a new era of gay travel, the full service gay hotel. We sincerely hope you continue to enjoy the amenities we offer to our guests, bicycle rentals, I Pad rentals, Movie Night, Pool Parties, Theme nights, Dinner Shows each week, there is always something to do at The RP. We hope that on your next visit you will take advantage of the many amenities available to our guests.

We know you have a choice when you travel and are honored that you choose The RP. Until we see you again, please accept our wishes for safe travels.

“'WOW' !!!”

Booked this place on line just because of the fantatstic reviews and was not at all disappointed !!
When first arriving, I was a little taken back on their location, about a 1/4 mile off the beach on a dark road with some motels / hotels abandoned sitting empty.
But once past that, the entrance to the Royal Palm removes any of those fears !!
The grounds were imaculate and the rooms still smell new and were as clean as some of the best 5 star hotels I have ever stayed in.
Their attention to detail is one of the best I have ever seen, there is nothing that they do not provide.
A warming touch was the tour we were given after check in, lights on and a welcome note on the bed with some home baked cookies.
We were here for 3 nights and did not take advantage of the pools or spas, but they appeared top rate.
We did one evening have dinner at their bar located at the back pool and were very happy with the quality and taste.
The bartender was friendly and outgoing and talked us into a peanut butter desert that was also a hit.
He had also recommended a club to us in North Miami called the Swinging Richards that had opened a short time ago. Checking their website, it seemed like we were in for a night of fun!! Do yourself a favor and cross it out, It would take me another day of listing my dissatisfaction with the employee moral at this rather attractive seemed like a hit type of club.
If your looking for this type, go to the Board Walk on N. Andrews, you will have a blast !!!
Anyways, back to the Royal, we were here Mon - Wednesday for 3 nights and loved everything about this place. Don't let the dark street fool you, because once you enter the doors to the Royal Palms, it closes on the outside world for a rememberable awesome time !!!

Room Tip: There are no elevators, so if you haave trouble with stairs, mask sure you get a first floor room.

“Royal Palm Spa and Resort in Fort Lauderdale”

I stayed at the Royal Palm Resort and spa for the first time. It came highly recommended from friends. From the moment I arrived the staff was A+ No request went unanswered. They would actually bend over backwards to accommodate me. The Resort, only a block from the beach and in the heart of the Fort Lauderdale beach area, you are within walking distance to the beach and great restuarants. The Resort, which was completely remodeled only a year or so ago, had two buildings and two pools. The back building and pool is a little more private, if you are looking for that sort of thing. In the front pool area there is an attached Bar and restuarant which was open from early morning in until about 10pm. There is a well appointed gym and spa and massage facility, which I was able to take advantage of. The rooms are beautifully decorated and absolutely spotless. The entire resort was immaculate. Food and drinks were excellent quality and so convenient, especially in the morning you did not have to dress to leave the property for breakfast, it was all right there.

Several nights a week the Royal Palm would have cocktail mixers, pool parties, and other social events in which anyone was allowed to attend, not just hotel quests, there was movie night and a host of other events which made the stay that much more interesting. The management was very professional and all business.

I just can't say enough nice things about this resort. It will be on my list of places to stay while in Fort Lauderdale for a long time to come.

“Spa services should be missed”

I booked a body wrap for a five oclock appointment. When I booked the service they told me they had a special for a wrap and massage for $150.00. I booked them both. When I arrived for my appointment they told me they had made a mistake. There was no special and I had to pay the full massage price and I had to wait until the next day for the massage. Since I was leaving the next day that left me high and dry. I was staying at their sister property Hotel Lush Royale. Poor management on everyone's part. I WILL go back to the Spa at the Grand. They at least know how to treat people.

First off let us say thank you for taking the time to write of your experience here with us. We regret that you had a less than perfect experience here at The Royal Palms, that is never our goal. If you were offered the special when you booked your appointment, it is our policy to honor that commitment. With that package, there is never a reason to have had to wait for your second service. This is simply not an example of the way we conduct business and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Please know that if any member of our management had been made aware of your concerns during your stay, we would have rectified them immediately to your satisfaction.

We do hope that you will reconsider and allow us the opportunity to show you the same courteous, professional level of service which is enjoyed by our guests and clients each and every day.

Once again, thank you for your patronage and we do hope to see you again.
