My husband stayed here in May for 2 nights. We were Ft. Lauderdale novices and walked into this trip mostly blind. We were pleasantly surprised to find VV to be really clean, nicely (and contemporarily) decorated, just secluded enough but close to the beach. Scott was a sweetheart and the brief tour he gave us was also a nice surprise, as opposed to the usual, "Here's yer key." Breakfast was usually well-stocked, maybe a little unpredictable as the first day was a baked French Toast and the next was a defrosted coffee cake. Condoms and towels at the bedside were a cute touch, albeit unnecessary for boring marrieds like ourselves. The crowd was mostly middle aged and pleasant, kept to themselves, but more than a little STAREY. I guess this is to be expected. Poor young Dutch couple staying there were the belles of the ball. We stayed in a pool-view room on the first floor - - would stay on 2nd or 3rd floor next time. Also, watch out for the vending machine beer, nice touch but ours was 1.5 years expired! All in all, a really nice experience for not a ton of $$.
