I stayed with my young daughter at the Green Island Inn back in 2001. We stayed for one month, so having the kitchenette was perfect!

I can't recommend this hotel more! Simply put, the hotel itself made the experience for me. Lovely rooms which look out over the pool and the only lushly vegetated hotel in all of Ft. Lauderdale. This hotel beats all the others hands down!

I now live in Miami and would consider booking a room for a weekend at the Green Island Inn simply for the quiet, tranquil and beautiful experience that one is guaranteed to have there.

My wife and I plus our two cats have stayed with Michael and his Mum on several occasions. Once for 6 weeks in 2000 and then for 4 weeks in 2001 and again in 2005. We don't stay anywhere else in Florida. You can keep your 5 star hotels because you will never find anything more welcoming than the Green Island Inn. May they always exist. They are good for all ages and its handy for eating out and for buying all you need to feed yourself.

I have stayed here 3 times, basically 1 time a year since 2003! The inn is very reminiscent of "key west" and very tropical. We have made several friends from different countries while visiting!

We are in our late 20's so the fact that there are foreign exchange students there didnt bother us. They are usually fairly quiet and everyone is very respectful.

The entire place is very well run...everytime we go to Florida we stay here!

I have stayed at this cozy Inn/Motel half a dozen times. It's a very good deal for the money. It is run by Micheal and his Mom. The rooms have stoves and little refrigerators. The place is a two minute walk from the beach (it also has it's own pool) surrounded by beautiful plants.

It is centrally located to food and activities. It's a pretty peacful spot. Some of the residents stay there for months

They are not a B&B (at least I've never seen breakfast offered)
