I stayed here for ten days in Nov/Dec 2010. I had seen reviews on another website which were not great, but weren't as bad as the ones here on Trip Advisor.
This hotel t is one of the cheapest places to stay near the beach, so I wasn't expecting much. The outside and office are somewhat of an eyesore, but I was actually pleased with the room. It was much larger than typical budget hotels, it appeared freshly painted, had nice floor tiles that appeared fairly new, and there is a walk-in closet that can give privacy as a changing room if needed. When i stepped out on the balcony I got a taste of what was to come -- there were empty beer cans and dozens of cigarette butts there. When I was first looking for my room, I saw the housekeeper and smiled at her and got a glare in return. It was almost impossible to get her to clean the room. She simply doesn't show up at all. There are no door-handle signs that say "Privacy" or "Housekeeping Needed." Even after complaining to the manager, she still didn't come. As a result, many guests were putting their trash in the hallway. Being near the beach, I always brought back a little sand on my sneakers and beach bag. The sand started getting walked all around the room, despite my attempts to remove it. It really needed to be broomed or vacuumed. If I didn't remember to wipe my feet off before getting into bed, the sand would be in the bed! Yuk! Atter four days, when the maid finally came, she did nothing about the sand on the floor. The manager said they change the sheets only once a week. I constantly had to go down to the office to ask for things like toilet paper and towels. The manager said this Jamaican maid is their only housekeeper. At first the towels were old and very thin, but after complaining I got some thick towels, but you shouldn't have to complain / ask for this basic necessity. Toward the end of my stay I saw a broken coffee cup at the bottom of the pool, with jagged edges pointing up. it stayed there for the next three days until I checked out.
Another issue: On the first night I plugged in all my camera batteries to be sure they were fully charged for my next day of sightseeing. You can imagine my disappointment when I was miles away at a beach and all the camera batteries were dead. Upon returning to the room, I checked the electrical outlets and found out most in the room didn't work. The ones that did work were being used by the A/C, lamps, etc. So be sure you check to see that they are actually charging, don't just assume like I did.
One last note: there are no clocks or telephones in the room.
For just a few dollars more per month, you can get daily maid service, and a better overall experience, at places like the Sea Club resort, which is even closer to the beach, has partial views of the ocean from the balcony, and has a popular outdoor restaurant.

We wanted something close to cruiseport. Cheap yes but with towel holders falling off the wall along with the toilet paper dispenser. Iwould not recommend this hotel even for the rates.

Stayed at Bahi Beach. The floors were dirty, the sheets were just as nasty, the sofa seemed to be falling apart, the A/C didn't work well at all, the fridge door fell off. Glad I didn't have anything in there that would ruin. Told the manager (owner) about it and he didn't seem to really care. He was nice enough but did not follow up on any of the issues at hand. Would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

I went down to Ft. Lauderdale so that I could take an exam for employment with Florida state. I arrived on a Wednesday, took the exam on Thrusday and left early Saturday morning. I will let my pictures speak for themselves. The manager (owner?) was very kind & accomodating, the parking was free and conveinent, the hotel (??) was very close to attractions/the beach and to Route 95/A1A.
Housekeeping (?) showed up on Thursday evening at 1830. I was sleeping. She came back later in the evening while I was out. She left a new towel and made my bed. The tile floor was dirty (my bare feet where black on the bottom) and the sheets were not changed - despite the dirt from the floor. Although to be fair, I never informed housekeeping about this.
Someone posted that people are living there & that is the case. The "hotel" offers weekly rentals. I had no problem with this. The few people I ran into were nice enough.
I would not recommend this hotel to a friend - BUT I would recommend it for college age kids on Spring Break - as there is a liquor store maybe 75 yds from the "hotel".
