I stayed at the Wndamar Beach Club for about ten days....It was a very pleasant, clean and well maintained hotel and very reasonable rates for this time of the year. Kieth Munderville is the manager and I found him to be professional and accomodating. He made my stay enjoyable and relaxing and he was extremely responsive if I needed anything at all. BB the housekeeper was wonderful as well and made me feel right at home. I recently retired after working for over twenty years as a city manager and administrator serving over forty thousand residents as well as having a staff of over six hundred employees, and the resort was just what I was looking for. The facility has a quiet and easy "old Florida charm" about it that I found extremely relaxing. I cannot compliment the staff here enough and will return to this resort many times...I will also recommend it to my family, friends and associates!!

I've stayed at the Windamar Beach Club each year for several years and have been generally pleased with my experiences. The quality of the rooms varies considerably, however, so ask to see your room before committing. My most recent stay involved a monthly rental of a one bedroom apartment with which I was very pleased. The apartment was clean and in good shape. Much of the furniture looked new, the apartment was tastefully decorated, and the kitchen was well equipped.

We particularly enjoy the resident housekeeper and always look forward to her welcoming attitude; we now consider her part of our extended family. She keeps our rooms clean and is quick to respond to special requests. She is very friendly and makes us feel welcomed and valued. She has an endearing personality and adds to our enjoyment of this property.

The hotel was recently sold and rehabilitation is on the horizon. The hotel is expected to stay open during the rehab, however. It was purchased by a group which has recently rebuilt several nearby hotels. I look forward to the results. Like I previously said, the quality of the rooms is uneven and rehab of all of them is welcomed.
The rehab was started during my stay when the landscaping underwent a major renovation. The landscaping is still lush and mature and is one of the outstanding features of this property.

The problems with the Internet that I experienced on a past stay have been resolved and I had no problem with Internet access during my nearly five week stay. The wireless signal was strong and connection was easy. The speed could be improved, however, as it was not fast enough to maintain a quality VOIP telephone call or watch video without stutter.

I recommend this property and look forward to the expected changes. My next stay in Fort Lauderdale will be at this resort.
