We stayed here for one night pre-cruise mid-January. We checked in at about 1pm and the receptionist greeted us wearing a shirt that was half tucked into her waistband and looked like it needed laundering. She then wandered off to find out if there was a room ready although we assured her that we were happy to leave the luggage and go for lunch since we knew that check in was actually 3pm. After much discussion with a member of househeeping we were given keys to our room which, at first glance, appeared to be acceptable. We went out and did not return until late evening. Closer inspection proved that the towels were well worn, rough and very thin. I was wearing white socks and after just a couple of minutes walking over the carpet the socks were dark gray. The bed was about as comfortable as sleeping on cardboard boxes and the linens and bedspead were well past their best. Pillows were flat and uncomfortable. After an almost sleepless night we went downstairs for coffe and found only regular, no de-caff. We were given a pack of decaff to brew in the in-room coffeepot but it was powdery and undrinkable. The only benefit to staying at this hotel was the free shuttle to the cruiseport. We would not recommend this hotel at all - stay at the Holiday Inn Express next door.

There were 9 of us that stayed at this property prior to sailing out of Port Everglades on the Emerald Princess. Everyone found the rooms clean and comfortable for the one night stay (except for the pillows which were past their prime). The free shuttle service from the airport to the hotel was prompt and quick after calling and telling the front desk we were ready with luggage. We just had to wait a few minutes at an area reserved for pickup by hotel shuttles outside the terminal. At check in we arranged for the 1030am complimentary shuttle to the pier and it was right on time. It was a matter of 5 minutes to the port so the hotel is in an excellent location for pre cruise and also for dining and shopping. There are multiple restaurants with a wide variety of cuisines within a few blocks of the property. Also within a short walk are several wine shops, a couple of grocery stores, a dollar store, and Ross (a great apparel, accessory and footware store) in case you forgot something at home. For Starbucks fans there is one just across the street (with free wifi if you don't want to pay at the hotel). There was coffee, muffins, granola bars and apples in the lobby area for a quick bite in the morning but we ventured out to the plaza next door (to the left as you exit and are looking at 17th St.). We ate at a little local place tucked in the corner called the Harbor Cafe. Their breakfast menu had a great variety of items and everyone in our group that had it loved their homemade bread. Service was very quick and the prices were very reasonable.

On our next sailing out of Port Everglades we would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again.

After arriving in Fort Lauderdale airport, we chose to take a taxi rather than use the shuttle. It cost us $12.90 plus tip from the airport. Check in was quick and easy. Rooms were clean, beds were very comfortable. There is a full isize refrigerator, microwave, dish towels, dishes and a kitchen sink in the room. Very convenient.

This hotel is close to everything you need. The Publix is behind the hotel, you have to walk down the sidewalk to the driveway, but it's very easy. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops within close walking distance.

We took the complimentary shuttle to the port the next day and we were the only 4 people on the shuttle. The shuttle was very nice and we were dropped off right in front of the porters.

I would not hesitate to book this hotel again for a pre-cruise stay.

Hotel is very nice, modern and clean. The staff from managment to housekeeping could not do enough to help me and make me comfortable. The hotel is near everything !! I would definitly stay here anytime i am in Fort Lauderdale. I don't usually do these reviews, but this hotel was worth the time to do so. Thanks to all the staff ESA FTL !!!
