This hotel was so disgusting that my boyfriend and I did not even stay the night there, and to boot the lady at the front desk said she was not authorized to do a refund, so we had to wait around until the next day to request a refund, and they did not make it easy.

We looked at two non-smoking rooms and they both smelled like heavy smoke. In addition, they were incredibly filthy, there were little pieces of garbage on the floor- bottle caps and papers, the carpets were dirty, and pieces of molding from the walls were falling off. I then checked the bed to see if it was clean and there were long black hairs all over and dark brown spots on the sheets. Please do not stay here.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. We slept very well, the front desk clerks and maid service personnel were all nice and accomodating. The hotel was quiet and didn't smell like a lot of hotels I've been in and it was clean (which was a "must" for me). We had a non-smoking room and for once, it didn't actually smell like smoke. The breakfast was "ok", bagels, muffins, waffles, cereal, oranges, milk, orange juice and apple juice was about the extent of it. There's not a lot around the hotel, but it doesn't take long to get anywhere either. We went to the football game in Miami and it took us about 40 minutes, went to Pompano Beach and it took us about 20 minutes. I would definitely stay here again.

We checked in on 11/5/11 at 11:30 pm. We had reserved two rooms with a credit card and requested for 2 non-smoking rooms. When we arrived they had no non-smoking rooms left. We were assigned rooms 325 and 327, neither one of which had a deadbolt on it that worked. When we called the front desk about the security issue they told us that they could fix them tomorrow, but it was just a one-night stay for us so that didn't really help.

We called for a 6:00 wake-up call. At 4:30 a.m. the phone rang and I had to get up to answer it. The clock-radio did not work so I could not check the time. When my husband looked at his watch he noticed the time was 4:46 a.m. When he called the Front Desk to see what time it was and ask what had happened -- the Front Desk attendant said that he/she had called the wrong room. No apologies were given and by that time we were fully awake.

There were large crowds of people in the parking lot at 1:00 in the morning which made my husband fearful about going out to check on the car.

The other thing was that at 3:00 in the morning, after opening the door and requesting, nicely, that the people take their discussion somewhere other than in front of our doors, I called the Front Desk to complain about the party going on in the room across the hall and into the hallway. The Front Desk attendant said that they were the only one at the desk and that there wasn't anything they could do except call the police.

One last comment about their breakfast. Our past experience with this chain has been that they have a very nice and filling breakfast. This particular site was definitely not up to their standard.

I recently began staying at this Laquinta instate of the sister resort on Rte 7. This palce is nicer and alittle cleaner, seems to have better clientel.
