This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel prior to taking a cruise. The last time we stayed only one night but this time we arrived two nights before the cruise to cut down on airport hassle in case of bad weather. We arrived late about 10:00 PM and called for the shuttle. It arrived in just a few minutes and we were loaded up and on our way to the hotel. Upon arrival, we were checked into our room within a few minutes which was great because we were so tired. The next morning we had breakfast and asked about a shuttle so we could go shopping somewhere. The male subject at the desk stated they were very busy with picking people up at the airport and cruise activity so they couldn't provide shuttle service. He did warn me that taxi service was very high. We were a little disappointed because there is nothing but a strip mall with little to offer next to the hotel. We walked down to a sports bar and restaurant located at the strip mall that evening. The food was good but the area seemed a little unsafe at night after viewing some of the individuals that were hanging around the strip mall. It does surprise me because there aren't more restaurants and shopping areas because there are several hotels nearby. We ended up sitting by the pool out in the sun which is great when you leave in a very cold climate in the winter.
The rooms in the hotel are nothing special in decorations but they are nice and clean. We asked the housekeeping service for some extra towels and we got them right away. I also like having a refrigerator in the room.
The morning of the cruise the lobby was filled with people leaving for the cruise ships. The hotel employees managed to transport everyone at their scheduled times without any problems at all. The shuttle drivers were very informative and helpful.
The price of the hotel is very reasonable. You save money but not having to take a taxi to a hotel and to the cruise port. We will definately stay there for our next cruise.
