made reservation at hotel it looked nice...upon arrival was a sign that said be back in 5 min...I came back in 20min a woman came out and had a miserable attitude when asked a question she grunted like we were bothering her was not very accomodating
so i took my money elsewhere no need to stay where im not welcomed the people reminded me of raw european people no manners or caring which surprises me after traveling europe for 3 weeks this summer people there were very nice maybe they need
to get out of the hotel business thats why for the 2 nites i stayed in ft laud. there parking lot was EMPTY !

I was a little worried about booking at the Sunrise Inn thinking I would rather stay at a branded hotel somewhere else, but this place came recommended by a friend so I gave it a shot.

I booked in December under the weekly special rate via their website and found it very clean and comfortable (I had a king room on the third floor). They told me the rooms had just been renovated, which was a nice surprise. The beds were awesome! The family that runs the hotel has been there for years and it shows as the property is maintained and very clean.

The location is about a mile from the 'strip' in Ft, Lauderdale and about a 20 minute drive from the airport. The hotel is located across from a shopping center, so you can get food at a normal price. There is also a pizza joint and Mcdonalds accross the street as well.

We chose the Sunrise Inn for our 3 nights pre-cruise stay, having stayed there some 6 years before on our last visit to Fort Lauderdale. We love the friendly-ness of the staff and family and also the cleanliness of the whole motel. This place is a credit to the owners who provide a very good service at a most reasonable cost. Thoroughly recommended.

Its clean! Affordable accomodation and is ideal for families. The staff is courteous and very friendly. It family run...so that sums it up.

When returning to the Airport, ask them for the shuttle, its $20, $6 you pay to the Motel and $14 to the driver. If you plan to take the public transport, its cheap. $3 for a day pass and the bus runs every 15mins. Take the 11 and change to the 1 to go to Aventura Mall. The 11 also takes you to the public beaches, eg Las Olas.
