My wife and I have been traveling to the keys for years. This is my first stay at the Econo Lodge in Florida City. I must say that this was by far the cleanest property I have been to. Even in better shape than a marriot I stayed at in Key Largo.
The owners were nice enough, and the staff was friendly. I also liked the location, about 20 miles to key largo, and since they widened the road, you get there a lot sooner. There is a WALMART, and nice restaurabts in the area.
I would definately recommend the hotel if your traveling south of Miami.

Stay here on our way to the Everglades, had never stayed in an Econo Lodge before, but would now after this one.... Excellent. The staff were wonderful, everything was clean, great places to eat near by, and excellent value for money. Could not fault it.

Great Employees! Now this is a great little bargain hotel. Clean, Clean, Clean....Clean as a whistle! Did I say Clean? It's so nice to save $, but have a great experience. It's a no frills roadside motel, but done just right! Inside access only to rooms. Quiet rooms, clean and fresh smelling sheets and towels, mini soaps, lotion, and shampoo, extra clean bathroom, great shower head. The parking lot is immaculate with sculptured scrubs and a sparkling pool. We did not use it as we were headed to the Everglades the next day. The other guests here looked like nice people...that was a good feeling. Also good was location which was near several restaurants and a Super Walmart (for all the things you forget before you head to the Everglades).

the hotel is at the top end of internatnal drive 1.5 ml from the confrence centre the location is quiet ,away from the the hussle of the main part but still good acces to shops and place to eat .
the hotel has 4 floors with good lift access it has a small cafe beside the pool for quick snaks the english speeking staff are extremly frindley and provide the best posable service the rooms are clean and well kept rooms do have a safe but this has to be paid for also room charges are seprated over all inpresive
