We spent 3 nights at this hotel, on our first trip to Fernandina Beach. While not in the Historic District, it was centrally located, and we could see the ocean from our room. It was within walking distance to a good restaurant (Slider's), Dairy Queen and a nearby tavern. It was just a typical Hampton Inn, but the outstanding feature of this hotel was the front desk staff, a woman named Ava. When we checked in, not only was she most helpful to us in providing information on what to see, how to get there, maps, brochures, etc...she provided 3 potential places for dinner. The next morning, although the Hampton Inn provides breakfast, we wanted to try a local restaurant...again, she provided 3 choices for us. We took her advice, and she was right on the money! She is invaluable to the Hampton Inn and we will certainly return.

Hampton Inns are noted for being friendly. This is the friendliest! The staff was very helpful when we arrived early. Cheery, fun and welcoming. The place is immaculate and the breakfast standard Hampton Inn with a great smile. The room I had 321 was a tight for two beds. They need to look at that again, but it work for a couple of days. Much more than that I would have been unhappy. It's very convenient to the beach and to a couple of restaurants near the beach.

Exactly what you would expect from a Hampton, very clean, very comfortable, and a great staff. The associates were super friendly (especially the breakfast staff) What a great location easy walk to the beach. Great stay...thanks...well done

One thing you can count on from Hampton Inns is consistency of product, and the difference between any of them usually boils down to location and staff, and this hotel wins on both counts. While the rooms and furnishings are standard issue Hampton Inn they are well kept up and very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful and the location is fantastic. This is not a place where I would book my beach vacation, but it is a one block walk to the beach and there are several restaurants along the way. It is perfect for an overnight stay when you want to get out and get a good walk on the beach with good food in a tee shirt and shorts if you don’t want to get dressed. It is also an easy drive into Fernandina if you want to go wander in the shops or go a little more upscale on your dining than what is by the hotel.
This will be my go-to hotel when I am in the area and I definitely recommend it.
