Exactly what you would expect from a Hampton, very clean, very comfortable, and a great staff. The associates were super friendly (especially the breakfast staff) What a great location easy walk to the beach. Great stay...thanks...well done

One thing you can count on from Hampton Inns is consistency of product, and the difference between any of them usually boils down to location and staff, and this hotel wins on both counts. While the rooms and furnishings are standard issue Hampton Inn they are well kept up and very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful and the location is fantastic. This is not a place where I would book my beach vacation, but it is a one block walk to the beach and there are several restaurants along the way. It is perfect for an overnight stay when you want to get out and get a good walk on the beach with good food in a tee shirt and shorts if you don’t want to get dressed. It is also an easy drive into Fernandina if you want to go wander in the shops or go a little more upscale on your dining than what is by the hotel.
This will be my go-to hotel when I am in the area and I definitely recommend it.

I preferentially stay at Hampton's and this property doesn't disappoint but when we called ahead for that evening bookings, we were offered a great rate with the 'manager's special.' gratefully took the deal but did notice the almost next door Days Inn advertising $20 less. Apples to oranges, but for budget mnded travelers in the off season when rooms are plentiful, a consideration. For me, I'd spend a bit more knowing the consistent quality of Hampton.

My wife and I stayed here while on business Dec. 26, 2011 for two nights. The Staff is very responsive to your request and takes care of any repairs immediately. We reported problems with the coffee maker and the iron before breakfast and by the time we ate breakfast and went back to the room both had been handled. The Staff will also give excellent recommendations on restaurants and will steer you away from the tourist traps.

Rooms are clean and well maintained.
