well to be honest the hotel really made me feel at/like home. the beds and pillows are very soft, and comfortable. the oceanview was great/just wish i was on the 3rd floor instead of the second. the only thing was questionable was the internet service/computer.
it always cut off in front when i'm using it. But guess what?? when i got back home my email address was hacked!! it was fine when i started using it at the hotel. so who knows whether it was the employee or not!
If i decide to go back will not use their computer. the only thing about this island is that it needs some type of transportation (at least a trolley to connect to a metro bus) to get around. Gettina cab can be kind of expensive. Otherwise its a really nice hotel!! I might come back.
Not to forget the people were very friendly at the hotel (the front desk). Honestly I just don't trust the men who are employess. The maids: well you have to keep an eye on them. otherwise its a nice hotel.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel on our way to Florida and would highly recommend it. Upon check-in we were greeted with a friendly smile. The room was large and there was adequate space in the bath. We went out that night for dinner and upon our return to the hotel the desk clerk offered us coffee and freshly baked cookies; they were great! The morning breakfast was well supplied with hot and cold food choices. We will certainly be staying here again.

We stayed three nights here in August and enjoyed our room and the location. We requested an ocean-view room and were given a room on the second floor that indeed allowed us to look out at the ocean. The hotel is a full block from the beach (look it up on Google Maps - one must cross two streets to get to the beach), so the view is a distant one, but just fine for the limited time we were actually in our room. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and able to answer questions about the area. The hotel building could use a bit of maintenance - one of the side doors would not accept our room key, and the carpets in the second floor hallway were stained, but overall the building is just fine. The location is great; just a short walk to the beach and very close to the entrance to Fort Clinch State Park. We liked being able to walk to the beach by going out the end door of the building, so we didn't need to walk through the lobby in our bathing suites. The breakfast is somewhat limited, but about what one would expect for this price. The Comfort Suites Oceanview is a very good option when visiting Amelia Island.

Recently my family and I stayed at the Comfort Suites Oceanview Hotel in Amelia Island. It was great. Had free hot breakfast every day and during the week, The Wall Street Journal was there to read. It is so close to the beach. It was literally across the street from the hotel. Just a short, very short walk. Also, there were parks very close by too.

The staff was very friendly and answered our quesitons on what to do during our stay. The state park is next door to the hotel and that was awesome too.

Our room had 2 queen beds and a sofa that turned into a bed. Room was big and not cramped. Stayed on the third floor and was quiet. (Mind you, we went the 3rd week of September) so it was off season. I liked the hotel and I would definately stay there again if we ever come back to Amelia Island.
