Got an expedia special rate for this hotel for 3 nights. Got there 2 am and there was a night window I had to talk through to the manager inside (while I stood in the icy cold)... Security issue I'm sure but never seen that in a hotel before! The lady said there would be a 3.70 dollar "resort fee" per night which was on top of the price I paid on expedia... It was 2 am and I wasn't in the mood or position to do much about this so just accepted it. She also charged me a "deposit" - around 25 dollars which she said I would get back once I checked out. The room was a little smelly and the sink was semi-blocked (anything other than a tiny stream would result in it filling up). The shower was awful - very low flow. The bed was comfy and I did sleep well. I didn't experience the breakfast as I wasn't ready before 9. I was looking forward to using the wireless internet but first night I thought they didn't have it as i could only find secured hotspots. Actually the internet needed a password which I was never told about on check in - the day after I found out I need a password the manager told me what it was. Location is a little out of the ways from attractions but there is a convenient dunkin donuts across the road for late starters. The staff were friendly but at check out I was told the deposit should never have been charged and the check out invoice was a little confusing with little charges and credits here and there - It looked like the total deduction would just be for the "resort fee" - what is that any way!? When I got back to my room the first night I found it had not been cleaned! I did have a do not disturb sign on in the morning but I figured if I took it off at noon it would still get cleaned - alas not. Overall I probably would not stay here again despite the lower price because of the sketchy ameinites in the room (shower being a biggy) and just the small charges you did not expect on booking.
