Disclaimer: I am a "local" so this is not a vacation getaway for me!
This Courtyard is very nice - clean, fresh, and as others have stated, located near lots of great shopping and attractions. As usual with the Marriott brand, I was not disappointed by the quality of the property.
What was unusual was how we were treated. When I first entered the lobby, I received a wrm welcome. Soon after, I was disappointed. It seems the credit card I put the reservation in months ago had expired - despite receiving numerous emails about this reservation, no one ever contacted me about this issue. So my reservation was bumped- and instead of a chance at a balcony room on New Years Eve for this rewards member, I am shoved into a ground floor handicapped room.
Then the breakfast buffet- well, nice spread, but as soon as the waitress noticed my voucher, I was completely ignored for 15 minutes, as I sat waiting for coffee.
So beautiful hotel, great location....but they really need to work on customer service.

I visited this hotel for my birthday. A friend and I spent 2 nights at this hotel for about $120 a piece. We had an awesome stay! The hotel location was everything a girl could dream for! We were close to the beach, shopping (The Silver Sands Outlet AND another outdoor mall), and a great Aveda spa (Fusion I think). I didn't really care for the staff too much (The lady that checked me in had a horrible attitude and they overcharged me for my breakfast twice.) but my interaction with them was limited to check in/out and breakfast. I slept really well and the bed was very comfortable. I had no issues with the room as far as noise. The room was also well cleaned; there were no traces that anyone else had ever even been in the room. I am planning another trip to San Destin and I plan to return to this hotel. I recommend it to anybody who wants to be close to pretty much everything San Destin has to offer!!

The nicest Courtyard I have stayed in. Modern, bright large rooms. Next to an upscale shopping mall with several eating options.

We spent two nights here on our way home from Disney World. They initially put us in an ADA room (105) which we thought was the reason for the size of the room. However, since my husband did not sleep well because of the noise from nearby exterior door they moved us up to a higher floor and we found the new room to be just as large and just as nice. This is a very nice hotel with great service and nice amenities. It's part of the Sandestin resort so you can come and go throughout the resort and utilize all the amenities - the restaurants in the village - the private beach access. We loved it. Last time we came here, we stayed at Luau which we loved but it was at least $50 more per night. The only negative might have been the product used to clean the carpets was a very strong smelling product which irritated my sinuses a bit.
