Traveled over the Christmas Holiday.
The pros: Staff was very friendly. Car pass to enter the Resort at San Destin. Nice location, not on the beach but ;you have access to the private beach and resort area. Price was not bad for the area.
The cons: outdoor pool not usable in the winter.
Pretty much a typical Residence Inn with a decent breakfast. The evening meals were very nice including free beer/wine. But only available Mon-Tue and every other Wed. So we checked in on Thurs for five days and only had the opportunity for one meal. Many other Residence Inns offer evening food as much as every Mon-Thur.

stayed over Thanksgiving while other family stayed at fancy Hilton. We traveled with dogs and Hilton was not accommodating for us. The Residence Inn had a great property, great areas to walk the dogs, the property seemed very family friendly with an all purpose sport court, and pool. The staff helpful. Priced well.

This location has some age on it but is well cared for and is walking to a bunch of food and market. So its good. But Destin sucks. Total tourist mayhem. Really weird.
Anyway try not to pay more than 90$. But overall a good place.

I spent two nights here in December. It's a typcial RI, the difference is the staff. They were wonderful. Everyone makes a point of greeting you, saying hello and asking if you need anything...and I meant everyone.

The breakfast was typical with scrambled eggs and potatoes every morning. I wish there was more fresh fruit as they only serve pineapple and cantaloupe. The dining area is really tight as well as there isn't a lot of seating. I was one of many who took my meal back to the room.

The exercise room was great. If you are a runner, they have a great path across the golf course to Sandestin out to the beach and some longer routes as well.

My only complaint is they have this stupid voicemail system when you call the hotel. You cannot connect with a live person. That's ridiculous. I was having problems finding the place and couldn't even get anyone to answer the phone!

I'd come back here again and would recommend it to anyone.

IMPORTANT: When you load the address into your GPS, make sure you list it as "Mirarmar Beach" and NOT Destin. You'll never find it. Even the Marriott website has it wrong.
