We've stayed here several times now (Unit 103B-East) and enjoy it each time. Sleeps 6 with 1King bedroom, 2 bunks in hall, and a sofabed. With a first floor unit it's just steps to the white sugar sand beach where umbrella/2 chairs rent for $30/day during peak season, and being on Scenie Hwy 98 in Crystal Beach area, it's convenient to everything. Overall, Crystal Sands was nice. We stayed in unit 110B. The unit itself was a little disappointing compared to other units we have stayed in here at Crystal Sands. The furniture is worn out, the bathroom vanitys were literally rotten from water damage. Both toilets were loose. The appliances were old and rusty. They need to update the unit a bit.

On the other hand, the location is one of the best in Destin. The Crystal Beach area is very nice and this condo complex is right in the heart of it. I could see my free beach chairs set up on the beach from the condo I was staying in. This complex is about location, location, location.

We have stayed at many places in Destin, and this one offers the best beach location!! The beach is almost at your feet. If you stay in a bottom unit the sand is just a hop skip and jump away. You don't have to walk 10 miles carrying your stuff to get to the beach. Once you stay here a few times you will know which rooms are the best. Try to get a room on the bottom, that is the way to go! The pool is located in the front of the building not very big, so if that is your thing don't stay here. It is all about beach here.

We stayed in room 210A, which had been recently remodeled. Our high hopes were quickly diminished upon entering the room and only got worse.

Positives
- Great location, great view, and great beach service

Negatives
- MOLD, MOLD, MOLD was on the shower walls and on the air conditioning vents. You could smell the mustiness in the bedroom and bathrooms. The shower curtain liner was covered in mildew as well.
- We tried to sleep on the fold out couch (because of the mold in the bedroom) but it was missing two support bolts and couldn't be used.
- The bathtub was clogged and so a shower ended up being more like a bath.
- Wireless access was intermittent at best and not reliable.
