We vacationed at Sterling Sands for many years when they first opened from 1996-2005. We decided to come back to destin and go to our ole place of comfort Sterling Sands. They location is great the beach service is still top notch but the whole staff has changed and the new manager Sonya who says she has been there for a couple of years is one of those people that tell you what you want to hear. We had problems at check in and with our room and when we went to the desk and asked to speak to the Mgr. she certainly was no where near as accomodating as the Mgr. they had there for the years before Sonya. After speaking to her we walked away feeling like she just gave us "lip service" and had no intentions of helping us out. So i am left wondering how DO some people keep their jobs when it is apparent they will say whatever you want to hear just to shut you up but yet you know they could care less about the customer. WOW!!! If I am going to spend this kind of money I will go stay where the staff at the desk and Mgr are friendly and caring about where they work and their customers. Bring back the old staff who once cared about Sterling Sands....
