We stayed in a townhouse/villa with three bedrooms and two baths. It was decorated very nicely. We rented it from the owners but it was managed by the property (check-in, ect...) The resort appears to be a little older but everything is well maintained. I'm sure the units vary greatly depending on the owner. Our unit was a short walk to the beach with private access and a crosswalk. We had no problems getting to the beach even with kids. The complex has five pools and tennis courts although we did not use the pools due to spending all of our time on the beach. The beach is beautiful and was not overly crowded. There is parking through the private beach access area near the complex's pavillion if you prefer to drive to the beach but we didn't find that necessary. There are units right on the beach as well. There is 24 hour security into the complex so safety was not an issue. The complex is located near many attractions and restaurants. We were very pleased with our stay here!

We have never been to Destin before and found Sandpiper Cove on the Internet. We loved it more than words can say. We were right on the beach and even though we had a few storms we still had a blast. We looked into some of the highrise buildings but choose Sandpiper because we didn't have to take an elevator to get outside and we really wanted our boys to have that true beach house feel. We never made it to the pool. The beach was all we needed. Our condo was beautifully decorated and the bed was more comfortable than ours at home. We all felt so sad when we left and we will be making this our yearly trip!

Stay there every year. This year stayed in different unit due to large family. Everyone there is very friendly and accommodating. Can't wait until next year!

The condo we rented was the perfect location- right across the street from the beach and next to the pool. There was a tropical storm so one afternoon the waves were just too much for our toddler. Ther pool was perfect. For the price, it was great!
