My fiancée and I stayed in a two bedroom for a week. We had planned on going with another couple, but that fell through. Anyway, the condo was huge! Plenty of room for two couples with children. Everything you could ever need in the kitchen. The balcony has a great view of the ocean. The resort has two beautiful pools, no hot tub. They have covered parking and elevators. They have a walkway leading to a private beach across the street. The beach is amazing. Emerald waters, powder white sand, just watch out for the jellyfish. I would certainly recommend staying here. I plan to return in the future.

This is a property that appears to have been built 20+ years ago, judging by the architecture. We had a 3-BR 3-bath ground floor unit, that was quite large and had a great layout. This unit was in desperate need of some TLC. The carpet was filthy with stains...not just dirty, but filthy. It should have been replaced years ago. The furniture showed signs of wear and tear....the upholstered furniture was also dirty and stained. The finish of the painted furnitre was blistered, peeling and worn. Many lightbulbs were burned out or missing. Batteries were missing from ALL of the TV remotes. One of the smoke detectors needed a battery replaced and chirped incessantly. We removed it. There were no hairdryers. The interior trim, cabinets and hardware were identical to the materials used in "entry-level" starter homes.....very cheap and not what you would expect to find in a nice Florida-style condo. The internet did not work...we used wi-fi and piggy-backed on a neighboring network.

The exterior and common grounds were neat and quite well maintained. The pool area was nice, and we walked across the street to the beach, which was also quite nice.

I think that one must separate the "project" which is maintained by the owners association, from the individual units which are privately owned and maintained. While the project is quite decent, any given unit can be nasty. I would stay here again, but insist that the rental agent personally inspect the unit ahead of time, and offer assurances and quarantees as to condition of the unit.

We booked our condo through Ocean Reef Resort Properties. They where great to work with. Hurricane Fay was projected to move through Destin/Miramar Beach the day after we where to arrive, so we called Ocean Reef and they gladly rescheduled the dates for us, without charging fees, etc. We stayed in Building B, #420. It was very nice and clean, and very accomodating for our family of 4 which includes 2 small children. The two large pools are great!! They are big enough that you have your privacy, and they where never overcrowded the 7 days that we where there. Also, the private beach that Amalfi owns.....its GREAT!! If you look way down the beach, all other properties are very crowded, except Amalfi Coast. We will definitely stay here in the future.

Stayed over the 4th of July weekend, very pleased with the location and the appartment. We had a 2 bed appt, very large, well kept and clean.
The only problem we had when we arrived is that there is no reception at the complex and apparently we should have been given an appt number and key code before we arrived (which we weren't). After driving around for several minutes we did find a maintenance office and the guy was very helpful and made several calls to the letting office for us. We were finally told we had to go back down the road a couple of blocks to another complex where there was an envelope waiting for us with the details. It's a shame we weren't told all of this in advance and had the maintenance off ice not been open I'm not sure what we would have done as most of the hotels were fully booked being the 4th of July.
If you book via a website make sure you have all these details before you leave home, plus the contact details on the fridge in the appartment were incorrect. We needed to contact them one day on a minor detail and were told, by a not very helpful man that they no longer managed this appartment.
