Wow, where to start, the unit we stayed in ,3b/3b, was absolutely beautiful, spacious, clean and the view was gorgeous!(4th floor) There were 6 of us, and we had ample room,however, we spent most of our time at the pool and the beach,relaxing and stressfree. There also was an area for grilling out by the pool, which had 3 nice size gas grills that we took advantage of also. This was my first time to Destin and i was just thrilled how perfect it was, and the weather for mid october was 85-90 degrees and no humidity! We were close to everything and the restaurants were wonderful. If there was one thing to squawk about , it would be our unit had no flat screen tv's, but now i am just nitpicking , because there was very little tv watching, and the wifi was nice to have, so, as Arnold said, I'LL BE BACK! Yes it was that wonderful , we all enjoyed ourselves and wished it was longer, looking forward to the next time.

Last week we stayed in Sterling Shores Resort for the first time. I
was a bit disappointed since they advertised as beach front, but had
read different on Trip Advisor right before leaving on our trip. As
others have stated the beach is across the street. It is a short walk,
but somewhat misleading when searching on the web for beach front
Sterling Shores is listed. If you are walking on the sugary white sand
and enjoying the aquamarine water and watching beautiful sunsets you
will definitely have a great time. Our accommodations were good for a
one bedroom unit. It was great having a washer dryer in the unit
besides a dish washer and a spacious bathroom. The sofa bed was
another story,,,very difficult to sleep on since springs were poking
my friend in the back! Remember if you are booking a 1 bedroom unit
you will be staying on the 2nd or 3rd floor and there is a very very
slight view of water. It is in a very convenient location for shopping
and our favorite restaurants. Everyone needs to try Merlin's Pizza
(Airport Road), especially if you can not ingest gluten. It's
delicious!


When deciding to rent an umbrella and chairs for the beach for a week
we encountered two type of individuals. One guy (Jesse) is hardly ever
out on the beach and the other guy Michael was there 98% of the time.
He answered questions and noticed that he helped new moms carry
strollers, etc. He was very personable and took a valid interest in
his business as well as his vacationers. We would definitely rent from
Michael if we go back to that area.

Think the pools were the best part of the property.

When I first read the reviews of Sterling Shores, I was a little scared at what I may run into when I checked in. My sisters and I drove 6 hours only to find that most of the people that were writing the reviews were exaggerating a whole lot. We stayed in a 3 BR/2BA condo that was located on the 10th floor overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. We simply loved the condo and the cleanliness of our rooms was GREAT!!! We were right across the street from the beach and didn't have to far to walk. We only stayed 4 days and 3 nights, but we are returning for a full week of fun in the sun! We simply loved the atmosphere and the fact that we didn't have to go far at all for food, entertainment and shopping.

We stayed in the Shores 8/12-8/15 in a one bedroom. We enjoyed being able to walk right over to the beach and the close location to everything. The room really needs some updating. Overall we would stay again for the price we paid.
