We stayed here for two nights over Thanksgiving weekend. The front desk staff was very accommodating and helpful, having arrived on Thanksgiving night, we had to eat in (stuff we had brought with us) as everything was closed. There was coffee in the lobby and when we requested a fresh pot be brewed, she did it right away. We had a similar good experience over the next couple of days. For instance when I inquired about a vegeterian restaurant, she immediately went online and printed us out a list of the closest vegan restaurants.
The location is great, across the street from Henderson Beach State Park and next to a Walmart supercenter.
The lobby is nice, they had a holiday decor and a christmas tree. The rooms are old and the beds are ok. There is a fridge and a microwave, which helps. The wi-fi in the room did not work well, but for a friend of ours in a different room on a different floor, it worked well, so maybe it was just our position within the hotel. There is a fast computer right next to the lobby and the staff will print out what you need (maps and such) promptly.
The breakfast is standard continental: waffles, muffins, toast, cereal, coffee, juice, yogurt eggs and sausages and such.
Overall its an old hotel but for the price you pay, its about what you can expect.
Room Tip: Ask for a room with good wi-fi if you care. Room 403 was good, room 207 was not!
