The desk staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel itself was convenient to shopping, restaurants and a short drive to beach and was excellent for the event for which we were visiting for. The only problem I had was when we went into our room, one of the beds looked like a staff member had taken a little siesta on it and forgotten to straighten it up when they left, the bed covers looked just like someone had laid down for a nap and got up, along with the pillow having an indenture where your head goes. I spoke to the front desk who were very apologetic, offering us another room, maid service whatever we wanted, which we just didn't use those pillows. The only other thing that was disappointing about the hotel was there was supposed to be HBO which was not working the entire weekend, not that I am a fanatic about HBO but sometimes after driving a long way, a night in just relaxing and watching a movie is my idea of restful. Other than that, the breakfast was your average breakfast, waffle maker, breads, cereals, fruits, etc. If you do stay here and want good seafood though, hop in the car and go to Pompano Joes, very easy to get to from this hotel. less than 2 miles away, right on the beach, excellent food, especially the fish tacos!!

I had a suite in May 2011. The furnishings were from the early 1990s except for two flat screen TV's. The in-room WiFi signal was fair, better the closer I got to the hallway. The breakfast was a step above continental, though not saying much. Guests can purchase beer or wine on site, not sure of the brands but the prices seemed reasonable. Since it was off-season, the hotel was very quiet. Big Plus was having a microwave/fridge in the suite which was $129 per night. It's a little hard to find as it sits off the road a good ways.

Made a last-minute booking at this hotel. Actually got the last room at the entire Destin Beach since it was July 4th weekend. Had 2 queen bed room. All I ask for in a hotel is that it be clean and the rooms have reasonable amenities. This hotel was very average. The rooms were OK although the paint was peeling on the walls in the bathroom. Beds were comfortable. Did not have even a small desk. Just a little table with a few chairs. No "easy chair." Paid around $150/night for what I would normally pay about $80 for ( I understand that this was July 4th weekend). Staff were courteous. Check-in was easy. Did NOT check out the pool as we are beach people.
What I will say is that the hotel is in a good location. There are two malls right next door one of which is upper class with multiple expensive "boutiquey" type shops. TGIF right next door. Outback very close. Wal-Mart just down the road. Beaches are very close (though not close enough to walk to). Hotel is at the east end of the beach area so away from all of the big condos and hotels.
If you are seeking a very simple basic place to park your body after a day at the beach this is OK. I would say it would be worth around $110/night.

This hotel is great!! The staff is very courteous. My entire check-in process was only about 3 minutes. The hotel is very clean inside and out. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The location is great and at night it is very quiet. The complimentary breakfast includes bagels, toast, waffles, sausages, eggs, biscuits w/ sausage gravy, and a variety of fresh fruit and beverages. There’s a TGIF out front that provides room service. There’s a store called “The Beach Zone” about 50 feet that has everything you need for the beach and it is very cheap. Everything else you would desire while visiting Destin is within 2 miles of the hotel. I think my standards are pretty high and I would give this hotel five stars.
