After reading the reviews I don't understand the ratings. My husband and I stayed there for one night and wished we had stayed longer. Our rate was $125 a night which included an hour of kayaking, 1 hour rental of the golf cart, and 2 hour rental of bike riding. The View was beautiful and the hotel was peaceful. There isn't a front desk clerk so you will have to make sure you have every squared away prior to checking in. Also there is a shuttle that that will take you to the little downtown area of the resort where the night clubs, entertainment and resturants are. This was our 3rd year there. We come for a major convention on the resort each year.

Destin is lovely. Go there, but do not stay at this resort. Just a summary of our woes: fridge dod not work, musty carpets, door to balcony did not have a handle or knob, remote did not have batteries, and the shower did not work. We were promised a new room and after waiting for a long time I had to convince the new person in charge that our suite was unnacceptable. Never again.

We booked this through Hotels.com. I will never use them again! We paid $100 night. We were told there was a Tiki Bar and Room Service. We have an infant so this was the major drawing point for us. The Bayside Inn is a separate part of the resort....about 10 minutes away from all of the restaurants and activities. The Tiki Bar is closed on Mondays, there is NO room service. The room was comparable to maybe....a Super 8 and that is being kind. The rooms were very "used" and the carpets smelled. They use the main resort pictures to draw you in.....Spend your money on a place on the strip. This was our first "get away" since having our baby and the Bayside Inn was extremely disappointing. Please beware when booking with HOTELS.COM!!!!

This place was completely disgusting and not fit for occupation. Electrical outlets were exposed, mold and mildew everywhere, wall paper hanging from the hall ways and rooms. Not to mention a strong, offensive, putrid smell through out the entire hotel; especially in our room. Black mold on the base board of our hotel room, holes in the walls, and the bathroom in the room was deplorable and the ceiling sagged. This hotel needs to be shut down and/or condemned. Words are hard to describe the conditions me and my family were exposed to. I and my family were so upset we promptly checked out within hours and the hotel manager was completely unapologetic about the conditions. This hotel is a complete health hazard…we were horrified. Stay away! The only thing missing were the water bugs and cockroaches...
