I booked this hotel online through a third party company. According to the reviews, it seemed to be a good hotel to stay at with my 3 month old daughter. My husband spent a year in Iraq, he has slept on the gravel in 130 degree weather fully geared up and for him to say that this hotel was not an expectable place to stay really hit home. We didn’t even check in to the hotel, we drove down the road and ended up staying elsewhere for only $20 more a night. I do not recommend this hotel for ANYONE who is planning on staying there with a family or a child. I am really not a picky person as to where I stay but this hotel was not a place I would ever stay at. The outdoor hotels make it difficult for bringing things in and out. Overall I was extremely disappointed with this hotel and the ‘great’ reviews that it got.

I have had the pleasure of staying at this hotel a couple of times. The managers were great. Ronnie and Becky were always helpful when we needed anything. Angelica, well she was just an angel. She went out of her way to be friendly and helpful. I only stayed 3 nights this time, but just as before the rooms were clean, everything worked fine and the staff was more than helpful. With my AAA discount the room cost me $86 a night at the end of July. So for those of you who expect satin sheets and room service, go down the street and pay a couple of hundred dollars a night. As for the partying. The front office can't always here every noise in the hotel unless they are made aware of it, so grow a pair and go knock on the door and ask them to please keep it down. If you can't or won't do that, just put the pillow over your head and go to sleep. As for the bad part of town. Where do you live in Beverly Hills? I think it is great, you can walk across the street to the boardwalk and visit all the shops and great restaurants . If you haven't tried AJ's on the boardwalk you are missing a treat.

village in is a nice motel to stay, close to everything & the price is right. waffle house is right in front & many other resturants close within walking distance. all with a good value & reasonable. only a slight problem. But the staff found us another room. thank you, that was very nice of them. But like i said we will be back & stay at village inn again soon.. Thank You again..:)- Darrell...

Out of the many places I've stayed at in Destin, this was probably the best for the money. It was only $99/night. I've definitely stayed at better, but also payed almost twice that. I'm hardly in my room when I go places so it's basically just to sleep. If you want high-class, it's the wrong place. But the beds were cozy, rooms were nice, staff was friendly. Pool wasn't much, but it was nice to jump into after the Gulf. I got to check in 2 hours early and there were no hidden fee's or hassels. It's close to restaurants, activities, beach, shopping, clubs, bars, you name it.
