I have had the pleasure of staying at this hotel a couple of times. The managers were great. Ronnie and Becky were always helpful when we needed anything. Angelica, well she was just an angel. She went out of her way to be friendly and helpful. I only stayed 3 nights this time, but just as before the rooms were clean, everything worked fine and the staff was more than helpful. With my AAA discount the room cost me $86 a night at the end of July. So for those of you who expect satin sheets and room service, go down the street and pay a couple of hundred dollars a night. As for the partying. The front office can't always here every noise in the hotel unless they are made aware of it, so grow a pair and go knock on the door and ask them to please keep it down. If you can't or won't do that, just put the pillow over your head and go to sleep. As for the bad part of town. Where do you live in Beverly Hills? I think it is great, you can walk across the street to the boardwalk and visit all the shops and great restaurants . If you haven't tried AJ's on the boardwalk you are missing a treat.

village in is a nice motel to stay, close to everything & the price is right. waffle house is right in front & many other resturants close within walking distance. all with a good value & reasonable. only a slight problem. But the staff found us another room. thank you, that was very nice of them. But like i said we will be back & stay at village inn again soon.. Thank You again..:)- Darrell...

Out of the many places I've stayed at in Destin, this was probably the best for the money. It was only $99/night. I've definitely stayed at better, but also payed almost twice that. I'm hardly in my room when I go places so it's basically just to sleep. If you want high-class, it's the wrong place. But the beds were cozy, rooms were nice, staff was friendly. Pool wasn't much, but it was nice to jump into after the Gulf. I got to check in 2 hours early and there were no hidden fee's or hassels. It's close to restaurants, activities, beach, shopping, clubs, bars, you name it.

We stayed here on a "girls weekend" in July. We chose this place because it was the cheapest hotel in Destin with a vacancy on such short notice.
Overall, it was just ok. The shower was hot (although there was a hair on the shower wall when we arrived), the beds were comfy enough to sleep on, the AC worked, and the roof didn't leak- so the room served it's purpose. Our room was directly behind the Waffle House, but we didn't notice any noise.
If you're looking for a nice hotel, there are a lot of them in Destin, but you're going to pay a lot more. I wouldn't call this place "nice", but that wasn't a priority for us. It allowed us to stay in comfort (if not luxury) and the lower price meant we had extra money to spend on activities and dining.
