I stayed in days inn DeFuniak Springs FL in August. I had planned on staying two nights. I had with me two of my grandchildren, one a new born. After leaving the room for a while, I returned to find my room unattended and unlocked with the door slightly open. Then as my ten yr old granddaughter was laying on the bed , a roach crawled across her. We checked out.

I have visited the Days Inn in Defuniak Springs several times. On the outside it looks to be cleaner than the hotels surrounding it, which is why I initially chose it. Each time I visited, a different price was quoted and they "bargained" with me on how much they'd charge me this week. The rooms are okay, I always stay in the same room. I've had to return the key card to them on 2 occasions so they could reactivate it because they only do it a day at a time, even if you ae scheduled to stay 2 nights, to avoid theft. (?) My last experience 2 days ago is why I won't return. Again the price has changed and the floor of the room was dirty, and the tv guide is always a week behind. Service was poor and the price had increased by ten dollars just from two weeks before.

When I checked in was quoted a rate. When I check out I was given my receipt. When my credit card bill came the charged an addition fee. I inquired about it I was told it was adjusted because of the coupon. But I did not have a coupon. I was told that I had been given the coupon rate and they could not change it. I will never us Days Inn again.
