My friends and I were in town for one night for a friend's wedding. I normally only stay at Marriotts however, since some other friends were staying at the Extended Stay I decided to also stay there. Even for the lower price compared to the other hotels in the area($100) I feel like I like I did not get the value for the money I spent. If I would have known, I definitely would have spent the extra $50 bucks and stayed at the nearby Hilton or Marriott.
From the moment we got there, the check in process was very slow. Once we got our keys and went up to our room, the key did not work. We had to go back to the lobby and have the staff unlock the door since our keys did not open the door. Then the staff member had to come to our room to "re key" the door while we were trying to get ready for the wedding.
Once we were in our room, there was no shampoo, conditioner, or hair dryer. We were able to get a hair dryer from the front desk but not shampoo or conditioner because the hotel ran out of these products. I do not understand how this happens at a hotel!
At the end of the night, we went to get in bed. The sheets appeared yellowish and dirty. And overall the room smelled like it had been smoked in. I thought the outside of the hotel looked much nicer than than actual rooms. The property was clean and well kept however, the most important part, the rooms, were not!
Since we were only there one night, we did not have our room serviced. However, I do know that if you do stay there, the rooms are only serviced every 7days just to warn you.
Also, we were only in the room to get ready for the wedding and sleep so we did not attempt to use the internet access so I cannot comment on that feature.
The location is not bad, close to A1A, but not walking distance. It is probably a $15 cab ride after tip. Also, I took a cab to the ft. Lauderdale airport which was only about 20 minutes away. The cab cost close to $60 which I was not expecting since the women behind the front desk said that it would only be $30 to $40.
I would never stay at at extended stay again.

Dear Valued Patron:
Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback regarding your recent stay at the Extended Stay Hotel – Deerfield Beach. We actively pursue any and all venues providing “first person” accounts concerning their personal Extended Stay Hotels experience.
I was very pleased to read that you were completely satisfied with the hotel’s outside appearance . I remain equally concerned, however, that due to housekeeping and maintenance issues your overall stay was not pleasant.
We are complimented daily on our cleanliness, amenities, and overall accommodations, so I take your remarks, very, very seriously. We are driven to improve ourselves at every level and at every opportunity. This drive is the very foundation that has made us America’s number one family of extended stay hotels. We’ve worked hard to reach that enviable point, but we are keenly aware that in order to maintain that well-earned accolade we must work even harder. Extended Stay Hotels has served millions of travelers over the years, but we believe our success has come from serving each of them one guest at a time. Because of this approach, you can be assured that your feedback does not end here. Your comments will be shared with the management and staff of this hotel. Policies will be reviewed, initiatives will be acted upon, and changes will be made.
Again, I am so deeply grateful that you have given us a clear and candid view of our guests’ needs and expectations. We are confident, by reviewing and responding to personal observations such as yours, that we can meet and exceed them. Your perspective, as the customer, is invaluable. I eagerly and openly welcome any additional comments, concerns, or questions, you might have.
In appreciation for our time, patience, and patronage, Cheryl Summers, General Manager
