My four night stay at this hotel was very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The front desk staff as well as the cleaning staff.
I use a wheelchair to get around and would rate this property a 3/5. Most of it is good, but the front lobby can be a challenge to get into, as there is a curb right by the front door. You have to go down a few feet to get on the sidewalk. The other issue is the elevators. They are very small and cramped to get into. They work though, so better than a property with steps. Unfortunately, the stairs are far out of the way so everyone takes the elevator. It took all four days we were there to eventually discover the stairs, so it is no wonder no one uses them. The bathroom, although advertised as a wheelchair accessible bathroom, had a 2-inch lip in the shower, and I could not get my shower chair fully into the shower. Basically, the shower was inaccessible.
The property was clean, the room was clean so no trouble there. The pool was okay, but not terribly inviting. There was also a wading pool for kids, but no hot tub. Slightly disappointing.
The friendliness of the front desk staff increased my enjoyment of the stay at the property. it wasn't too far from Main Street, where we walked for the New Year's Eve festival. I never felt unsafe in this neighborhood.
If I were going back to Daytona Beach and was looking for property in this price range, I would definitely return.
