We fly from England to Florida each year to visit our son and partner who live in Orlando. We just want to get out to the beach; my son and partner come visit us whilst we are at the beach. Tropical Winds fitted the bill perfectly with a large efficiency that could bed 6 people. As we had people coming and going it was very convenient. The Manager even suggested that we move to a cheaper room when there were only 2 or three of us, but we were so satisfied with our room. It was clean and fairly well equipped. When we asked for a larger fridge it arrived in minutes. The beach and views are spectacular as is the service in the hotel. The staff WANT to help and do.
I have read a couple of poor reviews for August... these don't seem to be the same place we stayed. We liked it so much we stayed nearly three weeks and will book again for next year.

I arrived on Sunday night around 11pm. There was a problem with my credit card. The guest agent was extremely nice and patient in allowing me to correct the problem. All of the staff and the manager was extremely friendly. Although I didn't eat in the restaurant, I did hear from other guests that the food was great. Definitely priced right. The air conditioning unit was a little loud but not to the point of distraction. THE VIEW AND LOCATION WAS UNBEATABLE...front row seats to experience the morning sunrise and evening sun set (AWESOME). I have already book another stay!!! Thanks to everyone!

Our first time at this nice Hotel. This trip was a real "beach trip" for my wife and I. We weren't looking for resort amenities ... we went for Sun and Ocean. This place was perfect ! The people were helpful and friendly, our room was above expectations, pool was great, hi-speed internet was excellent. On Sunday, we even had lunch at the Pool ... Hot Dogs for $1.00 each !! And a very cool guy serving them up who came and sat with us for a bit and had some funny stories ! Can't think of anything that was wrong here. We will definitely be back !!

We went Aug 9 2011 Monday morning, when we showed up the room was very dirty . The blankets had stains , the carpet was not vacuum, there was a dead moth on the floor,flys on the sliding door. We told the lady at the desk she gave us another room.This room was just as dirty, the blankets had black stains,the carpet was not vacuum, dust every where. We went back to the desk the lady gave us ANOTHER ROOM ..this room was no different just as dirty I said this is enough, We went back to the desk and I said I want the manger to come with me to see the room so she could see for herself just how BAD the rooms look and smell. I showed her the really bad stains on the blankets , the dirt on the floor, the dust everywhere... I said this is the 3rd room that I have looked at and all 3 roooms are
dirty. I want my money back. She did not give me any problems returning my money . the only good I can say about the manger at Tropical Winds is she return my money.. I was very sad with the up keep of this hotel.
