“If your not picky it's good”

This hotel is in a great location , the price is great for a ocean Jew and balcony. The rooms weren't that clean, there were stains on the floor and mold in the shower but again for the price if you aren't picky it's great. The staff was amazing ashley checked us in and she was so nice and quick, durin our free continental breakfast the staff walked around and talked to all the guest, it was a nice experience. The beach is beautiful the hotel is small but has a pool spa and a lounge are ! Very nice for the price !

“On the Beach”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

Being on the beach and Ashley who worked the front desk were the best things about the hotel. $5.00 per night to park car, a WIFI that won't stay connected, and a poor breakfast buffet were the low points. Linens, towels, and draperies were good. Flooring and doors in poor shape. Charge $1.50 day to use in room safe. All rooms have balconyand were no smoking. Small refrigerator and micro were in room. Probably better value in the other many hotels.

“Ridiculous incidentals and parking charges at this money-grubbing hotel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

This was supposed to be a 3-star "resort" that we looked forward to visiting. We suspect them of "Priceline Punishment" meaning that if you booked through Priceline, you were automatically charged for things that other guests were not charged for and given the room closest to the elevator. Their "incidentals" charge was $50.00 a night and they charged $5.00 parking per night even though the parking lot was nearly deserted as was the entire town. Such parking expense could be justified during busy periods but it seemed ridiculous under the circumstances. The final straw was when they charged TAX on the parking!

These arbitrary incidental charges seem immoral if not illegal and it is my feeling that hotel goers should stand up against them. What stops the hotels from charging $200.00 a night incidentals? Whatever they charge is money that vacationers can't use while on vacation. These charges are imposed arbitrarily without any opportunity to negotiate or agree to the charge beforehand. The hotels should be required to find some other way to protect their investment - that is there responsibility, not mine.

Besides these primary concerns were other reasons that I would not consider this a 3-star "resort". There was mold on the shower curtain and shower walls and the shower rod was rusty. The "breakfast" left a lot to be desired. The check-in person wouldn't throw water on you if you were on fire and as a whole, it was simply an unfriendly place.

I am sorry to hear that you were disatisfied with our hotel policies. It is our policy to authorize a minimum of $50.00 per reservation in the event you would have incidentals such as phone charges. Any unused portion is returned to the guest upon check out. We do have a $5.00 parking fee at our property and it it clearly stated on priceline as well as all other booking engines. The guest safe is provided in your room for your protection and peace of mind. I again apologize that you were put off by these policies but I assure you these are standard procedure in the hotel industry. Thank you for staying at the Acapulco.

“Very accommodating”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

We came into Daytona for a family emergency..I needed a hotel that was reasonably priced and preferred on the beach because we were going to have a lot of "down" time...so we thought. There were 3 of us...brothers and sisters. The staff could not have been more polite or concerned...but especially "Will"...he was wonderful. They helped us get a very reasonable rate for the second night, which was last minute and unexpected. They upgraded us to a "suite" overlooking the ocean. Two negatives...no counters, desks or anything to spread out, and only double beds. I had to sleep with my sister and it was snug. (There were cots for rent, but we declined)..Other than that...it was terrific and will stay there again.

Room Tip: we had ocean side on the 7th floor...VERY NICE...

“Coral Princess”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

In Feb. 2011 we took a 10 day cruise on the Coral Princess. What an amazing experience. We have never cruised before and we absolutely loved it. Our cruise was through the Panama Canal. We had a balcony room that was fantastic. We felt so pampered throughout the whole 10 days. If you want to just sit back and relax and have someone care for your every need cruising is the way to go. We loved every minute and the staff could not do enough for you. What a great experience, we hope that someday we will be able to go on another great cruise. If you've always wanted to try one and been a little afraid of doing so, don't be afraid. It is one of the best vacations we have ever had. Truly outstanding in every way. Each port was a new adventure. Our first port was Jamaica and we went to the Dunsriver Falls. It's like heaven on earth. A must see place. I can't speak for any other cruise line but Princess was more than we imagined.

Room Tip: If you are going to take a cruise it is well worth the extra money to have a balcony room.
