This is a very nice motel with kitchenets and double full size beds that is perfect for golf vacations. The motel sits right on the beach. The only problem is if you are a light sleeper request at least a third floor room or higher. The rooms are very clean and the wi fi works great.

We visit laplya every year for 42 days or more and we love it.we have a small pet and we stay in the same room every year.laplya is a older property that does need some work,like beds and carpet,dan the general manager is trying hard to fix the place up-he put a new motor in the jacuzzi while we were their he had work done on hot water heater-we really appreciate all you done to make our vacation special.willie and ally are great at the desk-they make us feel right at home.the view from the balcony is breath taking and laplya is close to everything.the restaurant is wonderful and so is the staff.housekeeping was wonderful during our stay,we clean our own room but they made sure we had everything we needed during our stay.we are already looking forward to our stay again in november-thanks again to the entire staff of laplya for making our vacation great-dan thanks for all you done and all you will be doing-see you in november.teresa and joe of myrtlebeach sc

I have stayed at LaPlaya every September for the past seven years and have yet to have anything but a wonderful time. We stay the same week every year and run into people who also stay at the LaPlaya year after year. It's like catching up with family.This is an older resort and it shows,but you can,t beat the price or location and has, without a doubt, the friendliest staff on the beach. The tiki bar alone is worth the trip and The Penthouse Lounge has the most breathtaking view of the beach you will find.

My husband and I stayed at the Laplaya at the begining of December and we enjoyed every second of it!! Yes it is true that the place needs a few rennovations, but we were not expecting the Hilton. The lobby was nice and clean and the lady at the front desk (Kristen) was very helpful and offered exceptional guest service. We went to the comedy show that Friday night and had Chrissie as a waitress. She was absolutely fantastic!! The room had your normal wear and tear, and we also understood that being right on the ocean takes a toll on things. We were pleased with our stay and will be returning for sure!!
