I just returned from a trip to Daytona Beach and had a LOVELY stay at the El Caribe. My room was very clean & the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was a plus and the view was amazing. I really enjoyed my stay & will definately stay there again the next time I am in Daytona.

I wish I had read this before I stayed here. I recently stayed in room 506 and I also awoke to discover bed bug bites all over my legs. I will not be staying here again until this is remedied.
Otherwise, the staff are lovely, the hotel could use some updating but for what it is, it is fine. But, with obvious reports of bed bugs by other guests, the fact that rooms are still being rented when there is an infestation of the 5th floor of the north tower is a real problem. it's obviously been spread by the cleaning staff who roll carts from one room to another and the bugs are able to set up in a new space. Seriously bad.
I travel frequently and have never had this problem. I pray that I didn't bring them home with me.

El Caribe hosted the training week of our group of 15+ people for the She's My Sister Bike Tour (http://shesmysisterbiketour2011.blogspot.com/) in May 2011. The entire staff, from the general manager to reservations to front desk to housekeeping, were helpful and supportive. Not only did the staff help us during the week, but they came out to say goodbye to the cyclists as they biked away towards Portland, ME.

I wanted to say thank you to the management and staff of the hotel! I had my wedding there on August 13th, 2011 and it was the most amazing day of my life. Not only did I marry my best friend but you made it so beautiful! The courtyard was the perfect place for the wedding even though it sprinkled a little bit and the banquet room was just stunning. To have my reception in such a beautiful room was like living out the dream that all young girls have. Everyone was so accomodating and made sure that I was stress-free on that day. I would definitely tell anyone looking to do a beach wedding that the El Caribe is the #1 spot in all of Daytona Beach! The location was perfect and as an added bonus the room we stayed in had the greatest view I have ever seen. Staying there with our 4 children for our wedding, I thought was going to be crowded, but the size of this room was very surprising. Everything is beautiful about this place!!!!!!!!
