“Will do better checking next time!”

Stayed for the Rolex 24, luckily didn't spend a lot of time in the room. IT was very small, not very clean and had trouble getting a cot. When we did the mattress was disgusting and ripped. I thought since this was a Choice hotel, it would have better standards but I guess that's not the case. Will not return to this hotel. Needs some serious updating/renovations.

Thank you for your review of our hotel. We are very sorry that we did not meet your standards for the stay. We want to ensure that we are replacing all beds in hotel. As far as room condition, since your stay we have started weekly training for all housekeepers and rooms are now inspected twice before check in. We hope that in the future we may have a chance at your business again.
Thank You

the staff was very nice. i am member oc corperate lodging and aksed the clerk the normal rates, and told him i had checked expedia rates and the clerk told me he cou;d give me the expedia rate, this was good at $34.99/night, gave clerk card he charged card and gave me reciept for the rate and what was chqrged to my card, BUT this am when i checked my account $10 usd was aded to the charge so will have to check call the motel and cind oput what happened. volusia county has 12.5% tourist charge too muich for a destination speed town, why do they have to adverties and charge 12.5% guest rate.
the room was nice, small, but for one night and one person ok. had refg, sink, 2 burner cook top but refg never froze what i put in freezer, room was clean and smoke free. the staff was very helpful. waiting to call and find out why they charged more than what i signed for written by king

Room Tip: call first

“They play the shell game with your reservations.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 December 2011

I needed 1 regular room and 1 handicapped accessible room for my mother who is in a wheelchair and can not walk because of her ALS. We weren't looking for the Taj Majal but something cost effective, close to the mall and speedway was great. I called the hotel asked if they had ADA rooms and yes they did so, I reserved both rooms a few months in advance on choice.hotels.com. This was going to be a great weekend for all of us. My husband finally had his '73 Stingray Corvette finished after 15 years and was going to show his car for the first time at the Turkey Rod Run with the local car club with my dad as his guest. My mother & I were going shopping at the mall which we haven't done that in years because of her condition. I called to re-confirm about a week prior to arrival and they said yes I have a handicapped room. I checked-in our room and asked if my second room was a handicapped accessible room. Yes, they said but, it wasn't ready yet. That was ok because my parents were not on their way yet. They were pretty close tobether too which was good. We went to our room and there were roaches in kitchen. We called the Front Desk, they sprayed it and moved us to another room on the other side the the bldg. It was a better room too. Later I checked-in my parents room and it did not have a king bed or nor was it handicapped accessible either. I went to the Front Desk and they acted like I was just SOL, everyone was checked in and they were sold out. I explained that I had done eveything that I could to make sure that this didn't happen. I told them that my mother can not walk and I need a handicapped room. The manager Tony acted as if it was my problem and it didn't come thru their reservations system correctly. I told him that I have called to re-confirm twice and your clerks told me that I would have a handicapped room when I checked in today too. The male desk clerk said "Well I guess must have been bouncing around?" How pathetic is that? All they could do is stare at the computer screen and shrug their shoulders. They really ruined the mood for the weekend. I knew this would set my father off but, I finally had to call my father who was on the way from GA with my mom and tell him about it. He called them and I'm sure he wasn't gentle about it but, they have to understand that going on vacation for my parents with a wheelchair bound mom takes alot of preparation and I should have gotten what I reserved! They gave us a $70 credit and magically were able to switch rooms the next day. We appreciate the $70 credit but this should never had happened. The female desk clerk did try to give us 4 more pillows but they were out of them so she gave us a brand new blanket instead because that's all they had. Yes, we did stay there because it was alot cheaper than the other surounding hotels but that does not make up for the miss managment and poor guest service that they provided. Someone threw a brick threw one of the windows the last night we were there too. Not sure what that was all about. I also have a feeling this hotel does accomodate section 8 housing which is scary to see the thugs hanging out around the hotel and other less fortunate people wandering around too. For a weekend of partying with the guys it would have been fine especially with the location right down the street from the speedway.

Room Tip: If you are going to reserva a room here just don't be picky. You get what they have not what you...

I was greeted with a smile and the front staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean and it was the best rates by far in the city.I felt very safe and secure during my stay because I noticed security camera around the building. I would recommend to any of my friend and family to stay there.
