“Pretty nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 December 2010

This was our second stay here, we are being relocated to this area and the first time we stayed they allowed our dog, which was a real asset.
This time we spent 2 nights, the price was great...rooms are very large, only problem with these rooms is the lighting...dark redish wall and florescent lites, make them very dark rooms...they need to change the red color or put in some REAL light bulbs.
Property is on a golf course, very quiet area, will stay again if the need arises. They are not wireless but provide an ethernet for you computer.

“It's ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2010

When checking in- the girl at the front desk was very nice- so no issue there.

When I got to the room it was 87*. It is an Eco friendly resort so I understand that they don't keep the A/C on. Once I did turn it on the room cooled quickly.

The room was large but the bed was only a full size. Luckily my husband and I could both fit comfortably- but that may not be the case for everyone. The pillows are absolutely horrible. They are small squares that are hard. I brought my own pillow and we found a regular pillow in the closet- which helped for the first night. HOWEVER- after room service came in the additional pillow we found was taken away- when my husband went to the front desk to ask about it they really didn't help him and he was forced to use a hard square pillow on the second night. I thought the bed was uncomfortable (I have back problems) but my husband had no complaints...

The breakfast was enough to get you through the morning- bagels, oatmeal, coffee, juice.... Not much variety.

Location was decent if you are planning on visiting a bunch of state parks.

There is a pretty good sized refrigerator and a microwave in the room- that may be helpful on extended trips.

Now for the noise issue...
Yes it can be noisy at times. Especially on the weekend we were here- there was an old Studebaker car meet in the parking lot. Lots of revving engines and you can here everyone in the parking lot. The fact that our room overlooked the parking lot probably didn't help.

One thing I wish the room had are curtains that block out the light! All we had were wooden blinds and they didn't block out all of the light. I'm on vacation- I want to sleep in!!!

Overall it's an ok place to stay- (less than $100/night)- I don't know if I would stay longer than a weekend (and check to make sure there isn't a car show going on...) if you do decide to stay here- bring your own pillows!

“Stay ANYWHERE else”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 July 2010

This place was very very loud all the time. We have small children, and they needed naps, and sleep at night. There was all kinds of people making noise all night long, and when we complained, the hotel staff said we could LEAVE if we didn't like it.
We also stayed for the free breakfast, which was bagels and plain cream cheese ONLY. After 7:30, the food is gone, and they refuse to replenish it.
I read the reviews for this place before staying, and noone said anything except that the employees were rude, but I had no idea how bad it was. We came to this hotel to sleep and eat, and our family couldn't do EITHER!

“Terrible”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 June 2010

The pillows were very small and uncomfortable. The televisions are old and the volume pitched back and forth. The carpet was old and badly stained. The breakfast was a pure joke, nothing much to it and if you got there 30 seconds after 9a.m., you were flat out of luck, it was locked up. No exceptions ! The first night, we had a discount coupon and you could feel the resntment as their manager had to approve the discount herself and while it did not specify how many nights it was good, they only allowed the first night and really slammed us for the second night. Were not friendly at all, like they were doing you a big favor. They ran out of hot water.Stay at the Best Western net door. Much nicer, great breakfast and clean, modern.

“Just Fine!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 March 2010

We stayed one night and found it to be a bit of a mixed bag. It looks like a holiday inn with recycling. It is certified green but the receptionist couldn't tell me if they used sprays/room fresheners/chemicals for cleaning or whether they were certified green because they recycle. I'm allergic to room fresheners and you would think a green hotel had an overt policy on this.

They do not have soap bars (hallelujah) but the pump/liquid soap is anti-bacterial - I would never use that junk. The beds were super hard (I personally hate that).

AND it was spotless and the staff could not have been nicer/more helpful. We left stuff behind (electric toothbrushes) and they mailed them back to us/no charge. It's a beautiful area. It was quiet for me.
