“Confirmed Reservation doesn't mean you have a room”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 March 2011

After being in meetings all day, I was surprised when I tried to check in and was told that despite my confirmed reservation and reminder I had received for my room, the hotel had overbooked and I had no room. In addtion to not having a room, the front desk called a couple of places (4 to be exact) and told me "sorry, there aren't any rooms available anywhere." After my insistence that there has to be a room within a 10-mile radius, they reluctantly called 3 more hotels and found a room, which they also did not even offer to discount. If it's important that you have an actual room to go with your reservation, don't stay here.

“Good enough”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 February 2011

This is a typical Residence Inn, which is just what our family likes. The living area/kitchen was bigger than some RI we've stayed at. They haven't upgraded their tvs in years. I think they were both 19 inch tubes. The staff was friendly and had the crib set up in our room for us when we arrived.

“Great value, location could be better”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 November 2010

This Residence Inn is located on a strip in Clearwater that has a large amount of hotels that offer 'suites'. There are a lot of options all within a mile or two radius. That said, the location could be better, as it (and the rest) are all on a busy strip of small business/strip malls/restaurants. The good news? You're right in between downtown Tampa, Clearwater Beach, and the beaches of north St. Pete.

Location aside, the rooms were clean, the staff were friendly, the bathrooms clean, the beds comfortable, the suite set up really convenient (I was with friends and their toddler.) There was a dining table, dishwasher, full size fridge, stove, microwave, dishes, separate living room closed off from downstairs bedroom, and there were tons of services made available by the property (grocery delivery, laundry, etc.)

The breakfast for guests was plentiful, the pool area had a lock, there's a basketball hoop and shuffleboard, and even though parts of the property were under construction everything was well marked and clean. I would certainly recommend this hotel to others.

“Not Best of Residence Inn”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 March 2010

I have stayed at various Residence Inns in the past including one during this trip. I found this one in a location that is not ideal. Off a busy highway and difficult to locate. The rooms are old and need upgrading badly. Bathrooms have vinyl floors and the carpeting is dingy. Breakfast is okay but last night's manger's cocktail party consisted of some vegetables and cheese served with warm beer and wine. Drinks were never put on ice and no manager to be seen to talk to. Seems like too many people just going through the motions here....looking for a better hotel to work in.

“Older hotel, not in the best location, but still ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2010

My family and I (husband and 4 sons) stayed here during New Years. The location of the hotel was (as my teenager says) "sketchy". It was right off a busy road in an industrial part of town. The hotel itself was older but the rooms were clean. The bi level suite was spacious for our family, it had two full bathrooms which was great. It also had a fireplace and logs were available in the lobby ($6). The breakfast buffet was only cold food due to the New Years holiday (bagels, toast, cereal). Not a great selection but ok. The pool area was nice, the pool itself was very clean. Not sure if we would stay here again due to the location. There were alot of Marriott properties in the area that had better locations.
