I travel to CLW area for business every few months and stayed here to see how it compared to other mid-level hotels in the area. The stay was mostly good, but there were a few let downs. First the goods -- I had a newly remodeled room with plenty of space. In fact i think i was the first to stay here after the remodel. Things were clean, new and bed appeared new and comfortable. No odors or smells to deal with. Breakfast was above average compared to budget hotels in the area. For the bads -- big one was the room's internet being horrible. It only had a wired ethernet AND when i speed tested it it was 31 kps (worse than dial-up). Almost unusable compared to most hotels with high-speed WIFI. The evening manager snack buffet I was late seeing, but unimpressive (free, so can't complain too much). The location works for my business purposes, but not somewhere you'd stay if you were going to CLW for the beach. My major complaint was the internet which i asked about at checkout and she just said it was broken and they're working on it -- but that was for the entire 3 days i was there.

I have stayed at a different RI in Anaheim CA, so in comparison i thought this was not as good of a property. I usually stay at the Holiday Inn Express on Icot and it is about the same satisfaction as staying there. I will probably try another place next time i'm in the area to find something I like better than both of these.

Went with friends for a weekend getaway. We had the studio with 1 king bed and a sofabed while my other friends had the 2 bedroom bilevel suite. Both were clean and spacious. Service/front desk was ok. Breakfast was pretty good. The only thing is the location: it's far from the beach.

After being in meetings all day, I was surprised when I tried to check in and was told that despite my confirmed reservation and reminder I had received for my room, the hotel had overbooked and I had no room. In addtion to not having a room, the front desk called a couple of places (4 to be exact) and told me "sorry, there aren't any rooms available anywhere." After my insistence that there has to be a room within a 10-mile radius, they reluctantly called 3 more hotels and found a room, which they also did not even offer to discount. If it's important that you have an actual room to go with your reservation, don't stay here.

This is a typical Residence Inn, which is just what our family likes. The living area/kitchen was bigger than some RI we've stayed at. They haven't upgraded their tvs in years. I think they were both 19 inch tubes. The staff was friendly and had the crib set up in our room for us when we arrived.
