“Good place, especially for the price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

I want to preface this by saying that I gave this motel a "4" because it seems that the owners do try to make it comfortable. Still, the building seems old and could use a bit more upkeep. The room numbers on my door were apparently mailbox house numbers, different than the others. The building looks old on the outside. The walkways are somewhat dirty and could use a pressure washing, but it isn't a bad looking property. The courtyard/pool area looks really nice and people were enjoying it when I got to my room. It is fairly well lit in the corridors around the property (all rooms enter to the outside). The bed was old, but not entirely uncomfortable, either. The bedspread looked very dated, but not old as in "worn out." It seemed clean and was surprisingly completely spot free, even though it was a light color. The TV was an old CRT, but I was surprised to see that they have DirectTV in the rooms. Very nice for relaxing after what was a 14 hour day changing computer systems and networks in 3 stores and warehouses. The room, though kind of old looking, was still very clean. There was a slight musty smell in the room and in the lobby, kind of Epcot "Universe of Energy" but not uncommon on the mid-Florida coast. I enjoyed my stay and slept well. The front desk clerk was courteous and helpful, I'm sorry I don't recall his name. I don't know if I would plan a vacation around this motel, but it was a great value for a night or even two. Many people I know would not have liked it, but contrarily, many would not have a problem with it, either.

“Great place, Great value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

I really enjoyed my stay here. I was a little nervous wondering what I would get for the great price, but was super surprised! Clean, great pool, good service, and the amentities....free breakfast, microwave, refrig, blowdryer, iron, i had to stay a couple extra days more than planned, they had a washer & dryer for customers to use, that was great. They were more than accomidating to arrange for me to stay the extra 2 days in the same room. Good location to restaurants, shopping, etc. once you figure out the road construction.

Room Tip: Lennys restaurant right next door has great food!

“Excellent Service, Excellent Room, Good Free Breakfast, Free WiFi, Not Expensive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

Thank you Management for providing excellent service. The rooms (250&255) we booked were clean. It is in the middle of winter and guests were swimming in the heated pool. The free breakfast included, Bagels, Cereal (four kinds), milk, apples, bananas, Yogurt, Waffles, Bread, Cream Cheese, Strawberry jam, orange juice, apple juice, 4 kinds of tea variety, coffee, and more (see pictures). The rooms were cleaned, fragranced and swept daily. They rooms had refrigerators Microwave, Safe lock, , The bathrooms didn't have a spot of black or mildew, fresh painted bathrooms ( see pictures). Free Wi Fi plus free computer use in the lobby. We were met by a nice lady at the desk (Jessica) and she checked is in less than 5 minutes. A lady ( Pam) at the breakfast room cleaned the tables and took the plates off them once we were done eating. She made sure everything is staked up. The hotel price for the service, and rooms quality is excellent. I am not sure about the other rooms but the rooms we stayed in them were in excellent condition. The only comments i have is the breakfast room is so small compared to the number of guests and the breakfast tables are on wheels, so you can be chasing your plates on the moving tables ( they have no locks). Please keep up the good work. Thanks to Jessica, Pam, and Ann and the cleaning crew for providing the guests with this service. Please see pictures attached.

“Close to major roads, tiled floors.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

Pretty good value here. The rooms have tiled floors, which was a bit weird...but they are clean and comfortable. Heated pool. Great value.

“Best value in area, clean and safe!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

Love this little gem. It doesn't look like much, but it's clean, basic lodging and the service is great. The front desk folks go above and beyond to be helpful. I had an 11 day stay there and got a terrible cold (unrelated to the motel!) and the desk clerk went into her breakfast juice supply to give me a huge cup of OJ.

The motel is dog friendly -- no fee rip off! And has a well-lighted grassy area right behind to take strolls and do business. There are baggies and a dumpster in easy reach. They've converted an old tennis court to a fenced doggie playground -- nice!

Two great restaurants within a 2 minute walk -- a Mexican place and the Twisted Kilt. Both very good and not expensive.

Even though the motel is right next to US Hwy 19, it's not noisy at all. Pool is cold, but Wi-Fi is lightening fast and totally reliable. They just updated the main server.

You won't be sorry to stay here if you aren't expecting luxury.
