I want to preface this by saying that I gave this motel a "4" because it seems that the owners do try to make it comfortable. Still, the building seems old and could use a bit more upkeep. The room numbers on my door were apparently mailbox house numbers, different than the others. The building looks old on the outside. The walkways are somewhat dirty and could use a pressure washing, but it isn't a bad looking property. The courtyard/pool area looks really nice and people were enjoying it when I got to my room. It is fairly well lit in the corridors around the property (all rooms enter to the outside). The bed was old, but not entirely uncomfortable, either. The bedspread looked very dated, but not old as in "worn out." It seemed clean and was surprisingly completely spot free, even though it was a light color. The TV was an old CRT, but I was surprised to see that they have DirectTV in the rooms. Very nice for relaxing after what was a 14 hour day changing computer systems and networks in 3 stores and warehouses. The room, though kind of old looking, was still very clean. There was a slight musty smell in the room and in the lobby, kind of Epcot "Universe of Energy" but not uncommon on the mid-Florida coast. I enjoyed my stay and slept well. The front desk clerk was courteous and helpful, I'm sorry I don't recall his name. I don't know if I would plan a vacation around this motel, but it was a great value for a night or even two. Many people I know would not have liked it, but contrarily, many would not have a problem with it, either.
