This hotel is great but the pool is way too small for the amount of people! The rooms are a good size and very clean. The hotel is right on the beach so if the over crowded pool isn't for you then it's just a short walk to the white sand and very warm sea!
We stayed here as guests for a wedding on the beach. If you are thinking of getting married here then my advice would be to stop thinking about it and to book it!

I have attended the annual Arbors Jazz Party for the last three years and can stay that I have always enjoyed my stays at the hotel. The staff are some of the best I have come across anywhere. Always friendly and very helpful. A number of hours were spent in the Mainstay Lounge where the service was excellent and certainly the food can be recommended although as a Brit I found the beer rather too cold - ice on the rim of the glass! Why cannot Americans realise that below a reasonable temperature beer loses it's real taste! Breakfast buffet was was good and filling.
My only gripe is about the rooms which lack facilities. WiFi only available at an additional charge and no in room fridge except at $5 per day extra. Bathrooms are also rather small with washbasin outside. Walls did not appear to be load bearing so no reason for alteration could be seen.
It would also have been an advantage, given that the weather was rather chilly, if there had been a residents lounge in addition to the limited accommodation for relaxing in the main lobby.
However all in all a good hotel with first class staff.

I expected more from the hotel's website reviews. My room was simply a small,plebian, boring room with two quite uncomfortable beds. Being a Platinum Starwoods member, I guess I am spoiled and used to better accommodations. There was very little to speak of in the Club Lounge, especially at breakfast. Unless you want wheat-filled carbohydrates, you are left with only less-than-ripe fruit. Peggy, the hostess in the club room is the only shining light about that experience. She was awesome. Fitness room is very nice. Pool is of good size since not a lot of people were in it at night. It could have been kept warmer tho as it was quite chilly. The whirlpool is very large and nice. Of course the beach is pretty.. it is Clearwater, after all! But be prepared to walk a bit to get to the water (again, it is Clearwater with its trademark wide beaches). The food at dinner was adequate but a bit on the pricey side. Overall, the stay was OK but if I can get a room at a different Starwood property next time I will bypass this location.

I recently spent five nights at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort.....the entire experience was wonderful. The food was great- the service was impeccable, and the beaches were pristine, and the water clear. The pool was wonderful and the hot tub was fantastic. I very much appreciate the meticulous attention to each and every detail that the waiters and waitresses bestowed on us. Even the weather cooperated with clear sunny skies. And the " Jolly Trolly " was an added extra as it stopped right in front of the hotel to take us to do some shopping downtown. Special thanks to the personnel at Rusty's and of course to all those who assisted with responding to our questions ! A wonderful time was had by all !
