I spent alot of time researching and studying google earth to get a feel of the neighborhood around the North Beach...I came down for an event at the SANDs hotel - just me and my 4 year old- hunsabd was to show for 1 night later. The Sands Hotel which was $$300 a night!! so either i stay one night there or 3 nights here literally 5 blocks down the street! I am so glad we found ROYAL NORTH BEACH i originally booked 3 nights and then every day would extend another day... it was THAT fabulous, weather perfect!
i ended up staying 6 nights.
My husband came for 2 nights to join me and our 4 yr old and even though he LIKES a full service hotel he agreed it was the best value & largest rooms! We had a living area and eat in kitchen and a separate bedroom and bath, like our own apartment! Perfect walk to beach easy to order food in, and eat by pool (just clean up after!) and perfect for what we wanted. The ladies who seemed to do all the managing and cleaning were amazing and so kind with helping and answering questions! Kitchen was clean and basically just what one would need! If i was absolutely forced to say what could be improved i would simply say the mattress was too soft for me and seemed to slant to the middle, and i wished it was a king not a full bed since i shared it with my kid. BUT let me reiterate- ON the beach, heated pool, laundry room avail, pool toys avail, locked main gate ( it was me just with 4 yr old so i might have been a bit concerned about safety) and who can beat less that 90 bucks a night!!! wow! i will rebook for sure anytime i return to clearwater beach , which by the way, is SOO pretty. We took advatnage and drove down to St pete and the Don Caesar hotel for a beach day there which also boasts a gorgeous beach with servers who can bring lunch out to you on the sands! ALL fabulous! We also did the clearwater aquarium to see Winter the Dolphin.. All in all simply great and felt like a 5 star vaca yet NOT pricey whatsoever!!

Room Tip: i originally booked 3 nights and then every day would extend another day... it was THAT fabulous, i...

I don't know why I would ever read anything negative about this place. I am not a teenager nor am I in my early twenties. I'm in my forties and I don't want to be caught up in all the crazy noise from the wilder hotels that are more south and I don't want to walk between towels to get to the water. But I travel with my husband and teenagers and I also don't want to be too far away from any of the great experience that Clearwater has to offer. It is such a fantastic place to visit if you're thinking of a vacation here. There is nothing like waking up to beautiful weather and walking down to the beautiful white sand beach early in the morning. It's a great feeling that the manager is interested in knowing you and your family immediately and showing you around as if you were staying with your own aunt! There are beach chairs, buckets, sand toys, coolers, and anything you need to take to the beach right there. Where else can you find that!!! We went on a fishing trip and cooked the fish right there in the kitchen. Pay attention to the pictures on the website. These rooms are like staying in a condo and really can't be compared to a hotel. Okay, so you're not allowed to throw sand in the pool, well I'm a guest and I don't want sand in the pool! Children can still have fun and be respectful too. I loved everything about this place and when I come back to Clearwater, I will automatically book the Royal North Beach. This place is it!

“Excellent”

My Dad stayed here for a week last spring when he came to visit me and he's booked the room again for his visit this year. He was very pleased with everything about North Beach. While he was here I spent a significant amount of time at this hotel and I agree it's great. The rooms are clean and very pretty (granite counter-tops, nice furniture, like a small apartment). I myself have stayed at the SandPearl and upon seeing North Beach and considering the monumental difference in price in the future I plan on picking North Beach!

“A very merry Christmas at Royal North”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

We had a wonderful experience at Royal North Beach over Christmas. Our first floor condo was exceptionally clean and comfortable, with every amenity we could hope for. It was also a bit larger than I was anticipating. Having their own book, VHS, and DVD library was a nice touch.

I liked the location of the property since it was a bit north of all the crowds and traffic, allowing for nice walks along the beach and up into the northern subdivision. But still close enough to walk to any of the restaurants, bars, stores, etc., in the main part of town.

I’d also like to extend a special "thank you" to Patty for being a wonderful host. Unfortunately I didn't get the name of the housekeeper, but she was also a very pleasant person to chat with.

This is a property I will definitely return to.

Room Tip: If other guests stay at the pool past the 10p curfew and you're a light, early sleeper, a bedroo...

“Clearwater Wedding”

We had our wedding at the beach across from the hotel, we had family come from out of town and stayed here. It was great! There was plenty of room and the rooms were gorgeous! We loved our time spent here we even had a cookout around the pool area and walked across to the beach later that night, it was so relaxing and peaceful. We love this place and continue to reccomend it to everyone we know.

Room Tip: Bring your own toiletries, the hotel does not supply them.
