We randomly stopped at this Motel after driving around for a while and so happy we did. We were able to get checked in right away with a room later in the afternoon. We stayed in a room on the ground floor. The room always clean, great price and the beach is just across the street. The staff are great! always friendly and helpful. There is also a pool in which we used quite frequently if we did not want to go to the beach! Very quiet and relaxing. There are lots of restaurants and stores close by. Every morning we would have breakfast at the Corner Post! which is just within walking distance. I certainly recommend it! great food, great staff.

We stopped here to unwind after 9 days of Disney/Universal hustle and before we returned to Pennsylvania. We can't wait to go back! The hotel is right across the street from the beach, We stayed on the 3rd floor and the view from the balcony is excellent. We saw our first Gulf Cost sunset here and we are hooked. The room was extremely clean. The staff is wonderful...including a bottle of wine before we left. We felt like we were staying with relatives.

This place is a gem...I almost didn't want to write a review so I could keep it all to myself!

Location is great, walking distance to most restaurants, shopping and across the street from the beach. My first and definately not my last visit to Clearwater Beach or the Ritz motel.
I had the opportunity to view other room types at checkout, the motel offers queen or two double bedded rooms of different sizes to suit your needs. The rooms also have small kitchen facilities, refrigerator, sink, hot plate and coffee maker. It was nice to wake, have coffee and walk on the beach in the mornings. Grocery options close by as well as other shopping.
Restaurants - open air - Frenchy's (next door) good food options; McDonalds (next to Frenchy's)..it's McD's and actually pricier. I enjoyed breakfast at Crabby Bill's actually. They open early, sat at the bar ...scrambled eggs, hash browns, turkey sausage, toast and coffee ...$5.00 ...the first morning, I had a biscuit and coffee at McD's ..$6.00 ... I also enjoyed Crabby Bill's for dinner - blackened grouper as excellent! Many restaurant options ..
I researched several accomodation options and locations. I opted not to rent a car and Super Shuttle was fine to/from the motel. I stayed three nights and wanted to be close to the beach.
I will stay here again. Hope this helps with your travel plans.

We stayed at the Ritz motel Thanksgiving week, 2011. We knew this was not a high-end hotel when we booked it. We stayed here for the location and the price. We were not disapointed! The location is the best on the beach! When we checked in, we were supposed to be on the 2nd floor. When I started asking about the view, they moved us up to the 5th floor just so I could get the view I came for! The staff were wonderful and very helpful. We were in the office quite frequently asking for their advice on restaurants, directions, etc., and they were more than happy to help. They also gave us lots of coupons! I would recommend this motel to anyone who wants to spend their money on their vacation, not the room. We will be back!
