we just got home from cedar key. our 3rd trip and have stayed at the gulf side motel every time. we wouldn't stay anywhere else. its so cozy and YES it is clean. theresa and raoul, yes her husband, were wonderful. they have been managing the place for 2 months and have done a lot of things to impove the property. to the idiot who wrote the review titled "should have checked trip advisor", i bet you trash every place you go. what did you want, the ritz? so anyway, thanks theresa and raoul for a great weekend.

My first time in the US and travelling solo I took a chance on booking hotels each day. This was a gem and it was made by the welcome I recieved from Theresa and Raoul.

I only stayed one night, had I not been travelling back to the UK a day later I would have stayed longer, I felt so comfortable there. Theresa and Raoul could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The outside space by the shore was magical and Cedar Key is a lovely place.

The room I had was comfortable and clean. I had a little difficulty with mobile 'phone reception, intermittent, but I did not have to walk far to get a signal for my calls home.

I gave this an excellent rating because the facilities were what I expected at the price but the setting and the most of all the welcome and helpfulness of the managers made my stay.

Raoul and Theresa. My wife Ger already wrote her message. Agree with her but feel that I want to write something myself. After arrival, we started to pack out the car. At that moment I heared the dolphin and togethet with Ger I saw the dolphins. That was impressive. Just like you both Raoul and Theresa, and the motel you manage. If people don't appreciate a place like this, what will be good enough for them. Looking back at our stay in Florida I will always remember this place as the most beautiful. And Raoul go on with the garden and maybe we talk again about real important things in life, like staying at your place with the fantastic dolphins in front of you. And at last, thank you that we could stay the day after and use one of the free rooms. Wish you all the best in the future and say goodbye to the retired policeman.

We stumbled upon the Gulf Side Motel this past weekend and had one of the most unexpected delightful weekends ever! We stayed in the honeymoon suite which is abundant with charm and coziness. The room and exterior areas of the motel were very clean and well kept. The view of the Gulf was breathtaking and everything is within walking distance. The managers were very pleasant and accomodating during our stay. We will be back very soon and hopefully quite often!
