The spots are a bit tight but it is very friendly and accommodating. Great location and close to downtown. The water sites are always nice to have and there is a restaurant on property was was great with homemade fudge!

We spent three days at Sunset Isle with our Teardrop trailer and aside from the no-see-ums (tiny biting gnats) it was awesome! This is an older rv park and the sites are small. We were the tiniest rig in the park and had site #1. It was perfect and shaded, just like employee Roberta said when making the reservation. Others on Trip Advisor recommend sites 5, 6,7 for the water view, but be forewarned there is NO shade on those spots.
AdaBlue restaurant is located here and the food was really great. It was nice to walk over and get a full breakfast for a good price. We did not try the BBQ but there is a smoke house on site and others say it's the bomb. Grouper sandwich was good and fairly priced.
Sunset Isle is maintained well, the grounds are clean and the employees accommodating and friendly. Rate is $45 a night.
There is laundry, 4 private baths and since water is at a premium on Cedar Key, there is no water on the sites. Walkable to a few places to eat and drink and to Southern Cross Clam Farm.We will definitely go back again, although I cannot imagine what it would be like with the park filled up. We went mid week and it was quiet.

Just got back from Sunset Isle after being there for a rally. As an Activities Director I like to bring members to campgrounds where they can relax or explore the area. Bike riding is so enjoyable and a wonderful way to see how beautiful and quaint Cedar Key is. The town of Cedar Key has some really good restaurants, and quaint little shops that cater to local artist. The owners and all of their staff were so helpful and just all around nice people. We will miss the sunsets, and the peacefulness of stepping back in time at Sunset isle RV Park!

stayed here a couple nights. nice park, I will say the spaces are narrow, I'm thinking if you had 2 slide outs you might not fit in a spot. However, right on the water, lots of docks to walk out on and great sunsets. Have restaurant that does breakfast and lunch - Low Key Tiki bar within walking distance, dog friendly, good bathhouses (not modern, but you are at an RV lot that isn't expensive). TAKE BUG SPRAY, cause the second the sun sets the bugs dance on you.

4 motel rooms and a great campground! We go every year and each time more of our friends join us. 50 amp connections and quite a few pull through sites. Over a dozen right on the water. Great restaurant. The owners are the best part. Roberta will make sure everything is OK!
