We spent a long weekend enjoying ourselves at the Island Place on Cedar Key. The staff were easy to work with. We stayed in Condo 315, which is on the third floor with a great view of the water. Our condo was clean, nicer than we were expecting and reasonably priced. The Island Place is conveniented located near Dock Street. We rented a boat for two days from Cedar Key Island Hopper, which is just a short walk from the Island Place. We also enjoyed the nice pool. We spent all morning of our departure day out on the water. The Island Place permitted us to have a late check-out at no additional charge so that we could take showers and pack without having to cut short our time out on the water. We will definitely stay at the Island Place the next time we visit Cedar Key.

This place is truly a gem, I have been vacationing here for years and will continue. It sits directly on the gulf and offers awesome views from most all of the rooms. Large balconies, spacious living area, and the decor is great. The rooms have their own individual style which is neat beacuse you get a surprise every time you check in. The pool is a very nice size and always clean. The grounds are well kempt. And most all the staff is what southern hospitality is ALL about. The atmosphere is laid back and you feel at home. From beginning to end it's a wonderful experience that will always be memorable. Five star rating in my book! Brenda F.

It has been approximately 3 years since my husband and I have visited Cedar Key. We have stayed at the Island Place Rentals several times over the past 6 years, this time staying for 2 nights this time, Room #210. Upon arrival, we noticed that the room's A/C had been leaking, causing the carpet to become wet with a large wet stain that was musty smelling. When this was brought to the attention of the front office employee, management obviously thought we didn't have a valid complaint/concern because she (management) sent the employee to our room with 2 wash cloths to attempt to soak up the stain and to bring back the wash cloths for management to "smell" . I can only assume management thought we spilled something on then floor. The employee immediately realized that indicated the stain was in fact caused by the leaking A/C, apologized and said that she would speak to managment about providing a different room for our last night's stay or provide a refund. We were not notified that anyone would be coming to repair the A/C. We left our room for about 30 minutes only to come back to find an A/C repairman (NOT a repairman employee of Island Place) standing in the hallway of our room repairing the leak. We were NOT pleased that managment placed our personal belongings in a vulnerable situation by not advising us that a repairman would be coming to our room unattended. The next morning we checked out and were not offered an apology, a different room nor were we offered a refund of ANY kind. We will NOT be returning to Island Place Rentals.

We stayed here for 3 nights with our 6yr old and loved it. Got the 1 bedroom, had so much space for the little one to roam. Full kitchen, balconey over looked the pool and ocean. Right at the dock, so we watched boat come and go all day. So peacfull. We really didn't need our car, we bike the entire island our whole stay. Tony's is the best place to eat on the island. Rent a boat for $20 an hour and explore! Island Hoppers will give you a map, and you can find sandy beaches that are deserted to play on! Will be back!
