We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel, located in a Cape Coral residential neighborhood. When we arrived, we found that our suite (#207, on which these comments are based) was much like what we'd seen on the hotel website. The Hideaway's unassuming self-catering comfort suited us well. Located on the Rubican (Cape Coral's largest canal), the Hideaway features sandy ersatz beach (with Adirondack-style sand chairs and bean-bag shuffleboard), dock, deck with barbecue and seating area, heated pool, plus free Wi-Fi, kayaks, and paddle boat. The decor is quirkily estate sale, not everything matches, but we found it clean, comfortable (Select Comfort adjustable bed!), and ideally situated for our needs. We also had plenty of privacy. Not only that, the Hideaway offered us the use of their corporate discount for car rental! (And we also assume the owners, Mark and Linda, were responsible for the beautiful weather.) Recommended!
