The rooms were nice and staff were VERY helpful. Only one room when we checked in but staff moved us to bigger room for next night.

Resort was clean, Owners were very accommodating ,and very helpful with local information and events . Looking forward to returning

Location:
The hotel is located in a residential area. When you pull up there is no sign of water anywhere however there is a small canal behind the hotel that leads to open water. We did not like the location though we decided to tough it out (wine) and make the best of it rather than ask for a refund.

Staff:
Obviously a privately owned establishment. They were friendly enough but check-in had an odd flow. It appeared to be a family endeavor with grandma living on the bottom floor with a cage full of parakeets.

Cleanliness:
As out of date as the room was (circa 1970) cleanliness seems to go hand in hand. The room did not have a clean feel.

Summary:
If you can't afford better and you want a place with a kitchen then this may be your place. It is old and run down. In comparison, we stayed at a beach condo the night before we stayed at the Hideaway and paid an additional $20 to get a room with a gulf and granite everything. Just sayin...

Basic suite with kitchen facility - small family run establishment offers good and personal service - we did not stay long but certainly will consider return and recommend for vacation travel - traffic in and out of Cape Coral a bit of a hassle but quiet neighbourhood with easy-to-reach restaurants is positive.
