My husband and I had a week long stay in a unit in CT. The transaction was smooth and the owners accommodating. I found the unit dark and depressing but when you look out on the terrace you realize why you made the trip. I have visited Cocoa Beach many, many times as my Mother-in-law once had a condo quite close to the location of Canaveral Towers. What a difference a short distance can make. There was a certain feeling of discomfort from the moment we arrived since you needed a key to access EVERYTHING. Every gate, elevator, even the water supply to clean off your feet. I understand this process and why but it gave me a feeling that was uneasy as though I should be concerned for my security. I never felt this during any trip over many years to Cocoa Beach. We were later told by a local realtor that there are many transients in this building since they rent by the week and in some cases even by the day. The condo units are individually owned and are purchased as investments to generate income. The unit itself was rather dark and everything was equipped with economy in mind alla TJ Maxx/Costo style. Although there were some updates, as economic as they were, the unit could use a little more updating in the near future. I understand the logic but have rented before and if you want upscale I would not recommend this building. On the other hand, the price was reasonable, the unit functional, the pool was lovely, the views great and the beach wonderful. There are many rules to follow (remember keys for everything) and they remind you periodically that they are to be followed with signage, etc. Again, I understand but it gives an uneasy feeling. All in all we had an enjoyable trip but I would try to book a different place when we return.
