“Not to Hilton standards”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

The experience that my wife and I had at this hotel was unpleasant even before we arrived. The hotel’s website directions are incorrect. They stipulate a turn from Yamato Road on to 53rd street, but it is actually 8th avenue. After spending some frustrating time trying to determine how to get to the hotel, we finally arrived.

Although it was close to the check in time, the front desk clerk was aloof and unhelpful, telling us that we would have to wait, as our room was not ready. But, after we asked if there were any other comparable rooms available, the desk clerk found us a prepped room.

The interior of the hotel was depressing, with dim interior hallways and rooms, provided by bulbs with minimal wattage. The amenities provided by the hotel- shampoo, conditioner and body lotion – were minimal. Shower caps and mouthwash were not provided and coffee cups were Styrofoam, not ceramic. We were even less impressed to find dirty shoe prints on the bathroom floor and a squeaky bed. The hotel does not seem to have a quality control program for maintenance and cleaning, although the maintenance staff did fix the bed quickly after we brought it to their attention.

Embassy Suite hotels provide free breakfast in the morning and drinks during happy hour, but we have found that the quality of the beverages vary from site to site. We did enjoy the included, cooked-to-order breakfast, which was competently and quickly made. But the liquor brands to be among the cheapest available, so we ordered a premium brand, which was good, but expensive ($14 martinis) and small.

With the exception of the breakfast bar, everything at the Boca Raton Embassy Suites seemed to be done on the cheap, inconsistent with the expensive room rates. Our experience was so bad that we checked out a day early to find better accommodations in the area.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about the hotel. I am so sorry to hear your experience at the Embassy Suites - Boca Raton was anything less than perfect. We pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service and it seems as though we missed the mark entirely, specifically with respect to service, and product. Your feedback is extremely valuable to ensure we improve our overall operation.

Sincerely,
Jennifer Graham

“Nice average place to stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

Just stayed for 4 nights. Friendly staff, clean rooms and comfortable beds. I stayed on the side of entrance on third floor. Next time we would request a room on the opposite side because of the exterior noise. Outside of the hotel is a train track and very busy road.

Room Tip: Opposite side of the entrance.

“Nice Week in Boca”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

Spent a week in South Florida over the New Year's period at the Embassy Suites Boca Raton. We travelled as an extended family of 5 and had two rooms. The purpose of our trip was to get some warm sunshine, play some golf and visit a few friends in the ares. The Embassy Suites suited this purpose well.

Overall the hotel is very clean, staff are quite friendly (shuttle driver Gus was extremely helpful to my mom and dad who are seniors), and the morning breakfast and evening happy hour added to the overall positive impression of this hotel.

The rooms (suites) are a bit smaller than some of the other Embassy Suites I've stayed in; this is my only negative comment about the accommodations.

The hotel is located in a business park, and although the Tri-Rail station is about a 400 metre walk (you do have to cross a major road to get there) we found it beneficial to have a car to get to where we needed to be. The previously mentioned shuttle was very helpful in getting to the beach (bring your own chairs and towels as you can't rent them there) and to the Town Center mall for shopping.

We enjoyed our stay at the Embassy Suites Boca and would certainly stay there if we are in the area again.

Room Tip: Higher floors to avoid noise from common atrium.

“Pool Too Shady, but Nice Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

The rooms were fine, it was a basic 2 room suite. Check-in was pleasant, included breakfast and managers reception were great. Definitely worth the rate with AAA. Our only complaint was that even on a sunny day, the pool area was mostly in the shade,so it was too chilly as the sun was blocked by the hotel building! Also, I did hear some train noise the first night, but then it wasn't much of an issue. All in all, a pleasant stay for 5 nights in December.

Room Tip: Choose a room away from the highway & train side.

“Fine Choice and convenient location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

My wife and two sons spent a nice night here before cruising out of Port Everglades. It was easy to find, less than a minute off of 95, though a bit isolated from any shops or restaurants, so a car is necessary. The rooms were a bit smaller than the typical ES, but well appointed and clean. The manager's reception was generous and the breakfast was typical ES quality. This is a very good choice for a family that doesn't want to share a single hotel room, and wants great value. We found the Boca ES well-priced, especially given the extras provided.

Room Tip: many rooms have balconies
